envious, I am
of the entrancing one,
drawing your dedication,
bound by an enduring bond.
for I am merely
a fleeting pleasure,
absorbing unwanted air,
observing from afar--
a bright, untouched smile
radiating past my shoulder.

Ebony eyes with teeth a biting stare
Haunting me with a green glare
Chewing at me with anticipation
What is wanted is imagination
Envious heart fancies me more
Than I am fore I am a bore
I dress humbly I’m not too proud
Yet someone watching me now
As a teen I recalled this feeling
Never wore anything revealing
But as one blooms curves come
And unwanted attention from
Teachers who were really perverts
Normal peers and some jerks
I use to think God this is a curse
It will be better inside is His word

my world surrounded by gray clouds
a moment's happiness is all I seek
my heart covered in magoa
a affectionate touch is all I need

not jealous but rather envious
judged by the divine power
my latibule lies in his world

Starting with the toes,
Leaning from back to front.
Curling muscles across the back.
Never stressed,
Elongated.
Pushing out from nose to tail.
I go from one appendage to the next.
Toes than feet.
Moving knees round and round.
Swaying hips up and down,
In hope the back pain settles down.
The pets have it made.
Each muscle is stretched in one continuous motion.
No rubbing in of lotion.
Cats join in under their shade,
Stretching in from toes up to the back.
As I sit,
Moving each muscle getting ready to stand.
Enviously disrupting my continuous stretch,
As I do my best.

Envious emerald eyes eat everything they see
Seeking soulful meals sinning repenting reinventing
Youth is no excuse for the babies are truthful
Your selfishness serves only you yet
Can be viewed as a cautionary tale
Every thing that looks good isn’t
Are you all you eat really envious eyes
Have you had humble pie
What did it taste like
Did you swell up with pride
Or deplete of ego inside
Eyes that seek peace yet warring
Eyes that need engaging story
What if you turn your gaze to within
Not in self hate but in renewing and mend
Growing green apple of eyes
Building dreams and living life
As an example a sample of grace
Envious emerald eyes on your beauty we wait

I’m envious of the clouds
That float happily in the sun –
Changing into colorful shrouds –
Lumping from many into one.
Their most compatible friend –
The wind, admits
They beautify the high heaven –
As nebulosity permits –
Travel without a passport –
Slipping away on a whim
For a day’s length or more –
Then return a denizen.

I have envied you, a poet's grace,
Each line you write,
A glimpse of your true soul's embrace.
Your words leave imprints,
In my heart like an eagle they soar,
And with each verse, I crave you all the more.
As a muse, you bloom, a radiant light,
I yearn to capture your essence, take flight.
You are so much more, than words can portray,
In awe, I stand, watching you sway.
Your pen dances, painting dreams untold,
In admiration, my envy unfolds.
Through your verse, I find solace and kin,
In this poetic world, forever we spin.

We felt she'd done something right,
So, why was her man's face tight?
Sheila in an enterprise,
To us all a sweet surprise,
But time for Wright to self pound,
Unable to pleasant sound:
We'd heard: moving round and round
Like one who had not peace found.
The name of Sheila's firm 'White'
Is a nice one for her Wright
But Wright thinks Sheila 'too wise'
Clear support not in his eyes...
Her White Firm Wright's eyes surround:
Plans to run it to the ground,
For it arrange a red mound,
Where it shall, at last, be bound.

Shall I turn to my audience and sing
To ah world who wishes to hear me
Sing
From intros to prechorus
They will excite or bore us
Does this world wish me to sing
I have sang many bridges
Carried ah tune or two
From verse to verse
The efforts the songwriter gave
In respect we must not neglect
The composers role in these
Collaborations
But, I
So we
Change the gender of
the love
Might the background singers
Compliment one another
Please let this blend with
Modern trends
It needs to fit in
It needs to fit in
To ride the wave
To number one
I want to tour bragging
Ain't to much to be asking
Maybe we can do it all
Again
Make it cool and different
We included something different
This song has two solos
One a conversation
A bassoon and flute
Wishes to groove with the bass
You should've seen the percussionists face
When the strange started grooving
The horns were ah tuning
Whomp ah whomp getting down
The flute took the show
To places voices couldn't go
Our smiles didn't make ah sound
When it returned to the tenors tempo
The horns started there solo
Putting the strings in the background.

I want to write a poem;
I crave it so badly that I even call myself a poet.
Oh, how I dream about words carelessly
and ceaselessly flowing down on papers,
The kind of stanzas that no one will understand
but still, read on with awe;
How I wish I could compose with rhymes so clear
and the rhythm so captivating,
Beautifully scribbled and incontestable.
Call this a poem if you would,
But it doesn't rhyme and you'll need no dictionary.
I'm working on it and I'll write again tomorrow,
Maybe worse or maybe better.
The contest goes on and I still envy the poets
But once upon a verse; I, too, will be one.
