My dogs have an enormous play yard

My dogs have an enormous play yard
Much better than being in a kennel or tied up
Still, I feel guilty when they are up there alone.
So, I trot up there to keep them company.
I sit in this play yard forty minutes at a time.
Writing while they settle into the play of dog.
We have six acres of land.
Our dogs used to stay on our six acres.
This new puppy is a social butterfly.
When anyone walks up or down the road he runs after them.
To socialize, be friendly, party.
A bad influence on his brother dog who is easily led.

why dont we see enormous men on missing person posters

I look at the missing person poster
Another young girl with long hair, pretty face
One hundred and nineteen pounds
She looks like all of the other missing person posters

Why don’t we ever see grandmas on missing person posters?
Where are the posters with enormous men?
Why are no plain janes missing?
It is always the beauty queens
Petite and gorgeous
And small enough to be carried off

Enormous Wingspan

I saw a large shadow in the water
Something ominous coming from up high
She hit the water with a large splash
There was a bit of a battle but not much
Horned owl took off holding her catch
Her wingspan was enormous
The catfish stopped squirming

The Cost Is Enormous

the gloom that clutters
without pride without purpose
in the house of lords

my frozen tundra
stalagtite icicle
protected by snow

winter residue
her fantastic confidence
regally standing

solid and secure
overseeing the village
guarding the mountain

winter protects her
carefully keeps her secrets 
adding extra strength 

she enjoys brief reign
glistening in frozen truth
spying on others

a dazzling glow
many come to worship her
rever her coldness

wishing she could stay
a frosty benefactor 
winter creatures hide
