Vanity and desire innately compulsive
distort the ethos of obdurate ego,
conditioning the vision to look at others,
for self-consciousness turns opaque layer.
Divine intervention in life reborn,
shreds the strata of opacity,
plain self-image escapes egocentricity,
gets transfixed within empathy frame.
In the hued horizon of the new life
the nascent sun of adoration rises,
paints all the pining hearts
with the perceptive colors of love.

Against the evil that enslaves,
our musculature
is the reading and information....
that reveal freedom...
Evil makes wars
we make fight... evil does
malice, egocentricity, ignorance
stupidity, cause us
cognitive gaps... but
The righteous fight
with literature,
lucidity
and poetry...
We must dialogue with
the thought, Plato,
Socrates,
Beauvoir...
Dialogue is our meeting...
dialogue with everyone
That's how we create resistance...
against hate,
the remedy is Love!

BITS AND PIECES
Bits and pieces they say makes the whole
A whole of what I can't help but ask
Bits and pieces of pain - despondence
Bits and pieces of lies - distrust
Bits and pieces of self - egocentricity
Whatever be your chosen assort.
So,
The bits and pieces you chose to gather
In mind do bear the responsibility of
that the bits and pieces you then do sow
To lend from the French "des choses"
Are the sort of dribs and drabs ......
You should feel no fear to harvest.

I have listened to your moaning,
A voice that trembles with pride;
I have felt your anger so violently,
Thinking you were about to subside.
I have sought shelter far away,
Where all-inclusive tranquillity reigns;
Silence is complete without being traced,
While my mind all sanity regains.
An augment of egocentricity you are,
Not knowing how to be true and just;
Poorly afflicted by indifference,
Love to fill the awaiting heart is a must.

Who Owns a Poem?
Could I call a poem – a poem
if I titled it as such
or would this egocentricity
cause the poets to turn on me?
Words - shifting sands - rolling stones
shadows cast by meatless bones
memory’s nostalgic noose
tormenting the bottled goose.
Three shelled game – poet as pea
always writing – never free
ink stained apron – wordplay runes
clandestine nom de plumes.
The pen sits mute atop the truth
expressed beneath its tip
manipulated poetic pawn
lost amid a coming dawn
Thrusting blindly at the night
stalking shadows in the light
scratching words in sand, on stone
for his poems he cannot own.

Heroism Dream
They have forgotten the athletes.
Heroically, I run to grab
as much of the vaccine as I can find.
I dash through the tunnel
to where they are about to board the bus.
But I must return to make an appearence
at the dinner party
and I forget the needles.
You watch my sneaking back.
I can't do it all myself. I cry out,
in spite of my heroic intentions.
I lose the way as my opportunities vanish
There is something
wrong with my legs.
When all comes
down to it, poems
flow through my
brain like dreams,
ephemeral whisps
of egocentricity processed
through my eyes,
frozen self-centered ripples.

Yesterday I saw a man with no face
Today he is still yet the same
“Tomorrow”, he said, was his name
He told me of a place where time never moves
A place where the world can not find you
A better place to call home
Need only convince yourself it is not a tomb
You can imprison the body
You can safeguard the mind
But you can not protect the heart
From
Love beyond all means of comprehension
Convinces the soul to let go
Everything will be okay
They hurt me in ways no one will ever see
They twist me in ways no one should ever be
They pile on to bury me and never let me
Break
The orphan child God left at the day care
He’ll be back they say, he’ll be back
To drop another one off
Sift the mud away from the rocks
Arrange them categorically
One can almost see the empire
Desperate self destruction
Egocentricity
No one else deserves the right or the pleasure
Counting the ghosts in your mind
How many more today?
Such are better than the ones yet living
They will never leave you
They will never abandon you
They will always be here
They will never go away
