300 years old

l listen to music everyday
it takes away my bodies pain
from rustling leaves to thunder storms
to soothing sounds, l love it all

Music is the Art of man
just like a poet but sounds its plan
if it has, connective heart
and reaches mine, we'll never part

l read it's written about despair
but only instruments do l care
17 century master piece
a Baroque arrangement, music feast.

'Mad Lover' by John Eccles 1668-1735

Red winged black bird

Red-wing blackbirds symbolize protection, good luck, and even prosperity. They’re a reminder that something else is out there watching over us and guiding us when necessary - Quote by Vanessa K. Eccles
---------------------------------------
Zorro of lakeshores, coasts,
waterholes amidst tall reeds
Redkissed on wings, nicely earned
proud yellow shining badges,
worries so much over his
subdued, streaky brown missus
bossing around claiming digs,
ruling the roost, many gals -
fearless keeper of his lot
he whistles, she chatters mild

The New Books of the Old Testament

The genuisness exited
Leave it cuz
Numbers don't add
Due to no money
Joshing you
Judges raise the roof
Two Sams are kinged not knighted
Our chronicles erased
Nah me high
East of here is the job
Palms are crossed
Always liked verbs
Eccles cakes are tasted
The solo man sings
I say aaaaah
Germs of my laments
Easy Kel
Dan as a joke hoses Ella
Almost done
Oh my bad ha
Ya know he is makin a mistake
Nah i'm hungry
Have a look in the kitchen
Zip nada
Hoagie in the mech chariot
Me i am the guy that lies

Mmm Cake

I'm shopping in the town near my favourite cake shop
I need a sugar fix so I’ll really have to stop
I’m having friends to tea, so I think it’s only fair
To buy my friend Patricia, a nice chocolate eclair

Connie loves a cake and it’s always lots of fun
Watching her dissect a pink-coated iced bun
Alice will be coming and she’ll bring her sister Pam
They both like nothing better, than a doughnut filled with jam

A Battenberg of pink and yellow is one of Carol's favourite cakes
She divides the squares into four, oh what a mess she makes
A nice Victoria Sponge is Jess's favourite cake
But the ones in the shop aren’t as good as the ones her Grandma used to make

Wendy is quite partial to a round, plump Eccles cake
Filled with currants and buttery filling
They're messy when the pastry starts to flake
The cakes are on the cake-stand, it’s quite a sight to see
I’m trying to cut down my sugar intake

But they look really tempting to me
My friends are choosing their favourite cake
But I don't think I’ll risk it
I'll just sit and watch them, with a nice cup of tea
And a nice modest Digestive biscuit

Today's the Day Chapter One

I'm sat here drinking,
My morning cup of tea,
Unfortunately though, today,
It's the only one for me.
You see after nine o'clock,
I've got to go without,
No food or drink, is to pass my lips,
Now that's going to make me pout.
I'm traveling all the way to Eccles,
Hungry and thirsty on a tram,
Because the train times are rubbish,
It's such a bloody sham.
I suppose that's what I get,
For having a dodgy knee,
At least once I have my op,
I'll feel more like me.
I won't be dancing though,
Well not for a while,
But I'll get upstairs without grimacing,
That would make me smile.
Once I'm back at home,
I'll let you all know how I'm feeling,
As long as I'm not too spaced out,
And my head isn't reeling.
