Today's the Day Chapter One
I'm sat here drinking,
My morning cup of tea,
Unfortunately though, today,
It's the only one for me.
You see after nine o'clock,
I've got to go without,
No food or drink, is to pass my lips,
Now that's going to make me pout.
I'm traveling all the way to Eccles,
Hungry and thirsty on a tram,
Because the train times are rubbish,
It's such a bloody sham.
I suppose that's what I get,
For having a dodgy knee,
At least once I have my op,
I'll feel more like me.
I won't be dancing though,
Well not for a while,
But I'll get upstairs without grimacing,
That would make me smile.
Once I'm back at home,
I'll let you all know how I'm feeling,
As long as I'm not too spaced out,
And my head isn't reeling.
