The people came to Alberton
To honour the man whose life was won
For he played the Port Adelaide way
And Russell Ebert won our hearts we say
His family spoke of growing up in the Riverland
A family who built a pride that still stands
On the football field a reputation made
From father to sons across all grades
Peter Woite spoke of the team man grand
Who set standards and knew the demands
And when his playing days were done
His Community work left a legacy number one
And Russell nurtured those he met
Focusing on what they did well yet
To always do good in this world
Was the thing that he upheld
Russell left the ground for the last time
And he was given a standing ovation so fine
And as Timmy Ginever said in the end
Our Number Seven’s gone to Heaven.

A hand pass out of the pack
Without needing to look back
Holding the premiership cup up high
A banner proclaiming God to run by
Four Margery Medals around his neck
If he was playing a sure fire bet
Six best and fairest for Port Adelaide
A club that bred success that couldn’t fade
Russell Ebert was a legend of South Australian sport
Who shared himself with us without a thought
For he is one for the ages now
A beloved player who knew how.

Roger Ebert~ "At The Movies"
Chicago Film Critic: Pulitzer Prize winner for Criticism.
Has a star in his name, at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Passed away in 2013 A.D.
~~A Dedication to Roger Ebert~~
Ah, dear Roger! Gone but not forgotten.
Infinitely compassionate, warm and fun!
With you, and many Chicago journalists,
I was so very blessed to run.
You never were too big to come to my
humble home parties!
You brought your journalist friends, too.
When my daughter was just two, she
joyfully opened our front door for you.
Each New Years Eve, you rented a space
for your hundreds of friends,
With drink, food and overflowing
laughter.
Those days, Roger, I will remember and
cherish, today and forever after.
I daringly argued with you about your movie
critiques!
And yet...you were open to hearing the
ramblings from my mouth.
Till a deathly illness, took you painfully out!
But, of your endless virtues and genuine
humanity and creativity,
Of these, dearest Roger, I will eternally shout!
Love,
Panagiota

God and Superman have one thing in common, neither of them lie.
But unlike Superman, God is real and he's a great supernatural guy.
Every word that's written in the bible is one hundred percent true.
God's book was written to help all mankind and that includes you.
While Ebert and Roeper give thumbs up to movies, I give thumbs up to the Lord.
I treasure God each and every day because Hell is something that I can't afford.

Tag! Your it! Like in the school days.
I got your mind lost, like you were in a corn maze.
This isn't Halloween, just another day of the week.
I'm always getting candy. I say forget trick or treat.
You can forget Flasnick. People just call me Flash.
My rap game's so scary, I say hell with the mask.
Forget Jason, They call me Lil T.
Wake up it's not Freddy, it's me you see in your dreams.
I'm rated X. Noway I'm PG13.
Sisco and Ebert said not to see the damn thing.
So if you do, you better call me the king.
I'll give you six days to live. I'm more hard core then the Ring!
