To lose the true love of your life
A devastating blow
Even when expected
It breaks your heart to see him go
No longer here to share your life
To talk things through
To comfort you
To see the twinkle in his eyes
So sad to witness his demise
Together for so many years
Your strength
Your rock
has gone
When duty calls
you’ll find your strength
for still your rock
will help you carry on…
