Magic happened on the shore of the Montezuma horizon
Two genies appeared, Mondomay and Mighizeb
Dressed in gauzy dainty chiffon, carrying two cats and a swan
They were a corpulent two, one with brown eyes, the other blue.
What wishes did you have? A new goat, sheep, donkey or calf?
People pleasers all the way, their attention made my day.
Illustrious and lovely, they had suggestions, but kept them hidden.
We are not allowed to share our ideas, even if prompted and bidden.
I told them I would have to think and Mighizeb’s face turned pink.
We might run out of wishes, said Mondomay, as he washed my dishes.
For this had been my first wish, as I despise redundant dishrag swishes.
You wasted a wish! Said my husband Mouse who now lives in his mama’s

Hand Made Things
Small things made my ready hands, giving of themselves and their time.
Time; their very lives, a measured existence between birth, life and death.
Forever; He is with you, He is with me, blessings on your house, and family.
My Aunt taught me to knit and crochet.
I can make a dishrag. (I am not bragging.)
I wish that I had paid more attention. I was young, she was strict.
My hands, did not comply.
At church, some weeks ago… I found the ladies.
They knit and crochet, and can and make lovely things from nothing.
God has given me a second chance. I am thankful.
Knitted outfits on pretty dolls,
showing the next generation what it was and is to be,
a wife, a mom, a mother, a sister, an aunt, a grandma, and…
above all a friend.
Daughters of the King,
singing, dancing and laughing together,
about their daily lives.

Shame me hit me with chains
Train me how to feel sane
Tame me if you think that you can
Hate me if do you wrong
Treat me like another worthless life
Beat me just as I am use to
Make me scared to come outside
Fake me tell me I am with it
Then throw failure in my face thinking I can take it
Show me how disgusting the world truly is
Don't forget to lock the cage at night
Because I'm waiting for it
Waiting for it so I can take these chains
Wrap them around you and tie you down
Keep you binded down and leave you there
While you watch me laughing at you
Now you can take it cor you dished it out
Can't hear a word you say with a dishrag in your mouth
Then I'll leave you where you're sitting
And walk out as you watch me walk away
No words will be spoken for the next ones you try to break in

I'm not your tearstained dishrag.
Will you end your suicide note with a hashtag?
Just lock me in the metaphysical gulag.
The real world's too much a drag
for a ***.
I am not digestible.
I am a hunk of pyrite lodged in the
jejunum of bureaucracy.
I am a precious and coveted
artifact hidden at the bottom
of a recycling bin, underneath
empty milk gallon bottles.
Their pungent swill is a grimy
filter for my blind beauty.

You're a dirty skank whore
You're a dirty skank whore.
Skankin' around the neighborhood,
Everybody knows you're up to no good
You're a dirty skank whore
You're a smelly dishrag
Yeah, you're a smelly dishrag.
The boys know to go to you
When they want to cure their blues
Cuz you're a smelly dishrag.
You've got diseases
Yeah you've got diseases.
When you spread your legs at the clinic
The doctor said 'the f*ck's been in this?'
You've got diseases
Cuz you took a poz load.
Yeah you took a poz load.
The dude swore that he was clean.
Now you've got HIV,
Cuz you took a poz load.
You're broke with five kids.
Yeah, you're broke with five kids.
Two weeks till your welfare's done
You should've just became a nun.
Cuz you're broke with five kids.

I'm afraid
no one loves me
its your fault
let me live with your parents
while you finish school
I can bend their minds
I'm afraid
no one loves me
I went a little crazy
my mother was a dishrag
my father loved the women
now I'm the victim
Oh you're sweet
your long brown hair
and liquid eyes darker with the pot smoke
you needed a cause for rebellion here I am
I can bend your mind
and you'll believe I'm the one
until I'm done

Come on in my family, and friends,
let us all work together, as the preparation
begins.
Grab that turkey, and warsh him real good,
better make sure we have plenty of wood.
Fire up the stove, and get it real hot,
sure hope paw got out all the buckshot.
Cut up them onions, and chop them real fine,
make sure you don't cut your fingers this time.
Grab you a chere, and sit down right here,
grandma is busy icing down all the beer.
Uncle Pete is piled up, watching the game,
he is hollering for snacks, the only reason he came.
Pick that dishrag up off the floor,
this is the last one, we don't have nary more.
Set the table with paper plates, and cups,
maybe this year, we just might have enuff.
Save all them cans, and put them in this box,
we sure wish grandpa could be here with us, but he
is still in detox.
After we eat, and our bellies are full,
the guys will jack the cars up, and get under the hood.
From our house to yours we wish you the best,
Happy Thanksgiving from us all, now it is time to rest.

unwanted child sitting in a room,
thrown away like a dirty dishrag that's been used
she feels discarded and unwanted
alone in her room she sits there crying
feeling depressed she thinks about
killing herself but thinks that's what
they want me to do. I'm not going to
give them what they want.
she wonders if they will care
if they will cry or come to her funeral
or if they won't have a care in the world
once she's gone and out of the way
she feels like an outcast alone in the world
you wouldn't know it because she hides it
with a smile and has lots of friends
it seems like nothing is wrong but deep inside
she despises the world, she can't stand it anymore
and wants to leave it behind and forget
her troubles and pain.
The next morning they found her note and
her body ling next to it
saying how she felt and why she did it, incase they where wondering
From above to her delight she was those who had
cared about her, but she wasn't alive to feel it.
unwanted child found someone who cared but,
it was to late for her....
