My Soul

My soul has embedded your name,
And within this heart's rhythm, it finds its tune.
I pledge my heart's sanctuary, to you alone,
And if i can not reach you,
Then i will pursue till the ends of this earth.
If so I find that you not lie here,
I'll traverse the realms, calling upon your name.
No regrets for encountering love so profound.
And words may fail to capture what I felt,
Yet, I'll write of you ceaselessly,
And when my hands grow frail, unable to write,
I’ll find my self narrating stories,
Tales of the day I found what it meant to be loved discoverer.

Poetic Diction

None is silent
Even the silence is not silent
But silence is the great life of the universe

Language is indebted to the silence
Sound is the driver of the language
Alphabet is the driver of the sound
Word is the driver of the alphabet
Sentence is the driver of the word

Silence has meaningful everything
As well as the poetic diction

Fire of word burns the inside of poetic insight
Word has everything and the poet is the main discoverer of that

Niagara Love

Waters ... Whimsical and essential
Can't be destroyed
Energies ...constant if constantly
Deployed, somehow alloyed
Ancient witnesses
To us now, an ancestor, who gazed in utter awe and wonder
Watching waterfalls through countless generations?
Why, then, single out a singular discoverer?

               Bloom Road

Wherefore be this heavenly place?
Untouched by the metropolis'
inhumane demands?
Tis in your heart, dear friend, such
a place be.
Free of political buffoonery.

One must be a bold discoverer of
the heart.
For if not, Bloom Road is naught!
In the sweetest dwelling of your wishes,
Lies Bloom Road, and warm, delicious,
awaiting kisses.

Life is not an accident for those
with drreams.
It's an actuality that's both planned
and deftly carved and schemed.
Be off now, and the hunter be....
Bloom Road and thy keenest lover,
Are at the ready, just for thee.

Odey

As soon as Odey arrived,
The villagers greeted in roar
Like the verdicts of Lions.
He was lifted high and
Gongs gave their salutations,
For Odey, the great salt
Discoverer has arrived.
Wrestlers pay allegiance
By displaying black skills,
He walked shoulder high
And his praises were lifted high.
Women swung their backyards,
Making the men's mouth water,
For the great hunter has arrived.
Jubilation is sure, all anger cured.
Gun powder entered the air to
Inform the sky of the black discoverer,
The seed of Yala*.
Children orchestrating black rhythm
And rhyme, happy to see the salts.
Welcome Odey, welcome black hero,
For thou art a true meaning of an African sunset....

===========================
Yala* is my mother's tribal dialect.

Unapproachable

I’m an unopenable door waiting to be cracked open, exposed to the natural but
yet fresh humanity. Such an infinitesimal amount of air escapes through the
cracks, just taunting me. Showing what I can’t have, but giving me such small
doses it taunts me. When will that key be discovered, and open a concrete wall in
front of me. The bleak amounts of light only omit pure injustice. Give me what I
want. It’s not there, the figure, the human being that will be that discoverer. This
absence of light is eating away at my flesh; everything needs light, pure light, to
live. For this just erodes my skin, until it drips to the floor, of an ungoverned
society. A society so weak it won’t even be governed. A society so weak, that it will
not provide for its fellow parts. My society won’t allow this to happen anymore.
The brain in my head throbs from a recollection of what is to come, pure
excitement, and pure hesitation. The anticipation accumulates, which rubs the
society against the blades of a democracy. Bring yourself forward, and try your
key into a rusted lock.

A Piece of Paper

I’ve found a note written with your hand -
A little piece of paper in my drawer
With out-of-date notes – my little island
With a buried treasure – I, discoverer.

I touch gently letters like the blind,
As if I stroked your fingers – one by one.
Scores of memories come in my mind,
I feel pulsating blood in your palm…

I can’t throw it away out of my desk.
It’s impossible – it’s too painful,
I don’t feel up to doing it – to wreck
The return to the past – the symbol.

I hold it close to my chest with sadness.
My tears fall down on the dear sheet -
All my life, and all my happiness,
And a priceless memory – so sweet…
