Dimly Poems - Poems about Dimly

A Welcome into the Dark

A legendary dark, so thick,
A corrosive smog to my young eyes that itched,
My kid-glove skin crawled like the parasitic tick,
It felt as though my whole system glitched.

A welcome into the dark cave,
Exhilarating walk from the womb, a step into the mystery,
Where shadows of truth barely behave,
The haste of rolling days writes the history.

A love

(* = i)

There’s a dimly lit house where a chicken sh*t mouse
Hides in a hole from the man and his spouse
He’s easy to please
Just leave him some cheese
And you won’t find a hole in your best Levi Strauss

But it’s easy to see when it’s fait accompli
And your new denim pants have a hole in one

Dimly breaks the sun
light fights the hooded gray
   spiders die birds escape
   conquered leaves drop dead.

Fear abounds
   for Victor Fall
   be on a bounty-seeking spree
stripping strong trees
   to naked

A Foggy Mist and a Chilling Sound

A Foggy Mist and a Chilling Sound

Walking down the dimly lit street,
a foggy mist rising around my feet.
Soon the fogs so thick, I can't see,
walking blindly, by the river,
that's running past me.

Street lamps can just be seen,
then I hear a scream.
The intensifying fear of something
so unholy, chillingly cold.
Screams could be heard through the mist filled

Premium MemberI See Dimly

Perhaps you saw it too.
Yesterday, I saw multitudes of people on a runaway train.
It appeared that their minds were in chains, as they cried in pain.
I saw dejection on their faces, and they were longing for change.
Their fears were clearly visible aboard the speeding locomotive.
It was rolling downhill on a collision course, full speed ahead.
It

Dimly Lit Beauty

Over blistering coats of grey
The stars close their eyes and look away
During days they turn off their lights
While grey blends with the nights

Above this dark, well-trodden dirt
Their weary eyes remain alert
The few bright, sparkling eyes
Soon will learn to cut their ties

Nature’s ripped, bloodied sash
Loosely hangs under coats of ash
Her knotted tangled

One Dimly Lit and Shadow Morn

One dimly lit and shadow morn
Outside all made of weather.
A cor’d o’ blimey son was born
Drooped in an angel feather.

‘Are you the lady of the lake?’
I asked in spectful tone.
‘The one with dodgy handlebrake
And speeches like a phone?’

‘Indeed I am that holy man.’
She answered all a sieve.
And leaking me a secret word
One she could only

Dimly

A mirror grimy
Dust, insect, fears, tears: my past
Reflect his image.

In a Mirror Dimly

In a mirror dimly
The image thou wilt see
Is a trick of the eye,
Which clouds reality.

Thy soul is lost inside
This specious looking glass.
Such misplaced vanity,
In time will surely pass.

For time will have its day,
And all shall feel it stir.
An affliction bereft
Of remedy or cure.

If soul lies not within
Thy woeful withered husk,
What shall remain of thee
When daylight

Dimly Lit Street

He walks down
The dimly lit
street of drug use
His body and mind
Take abuse

Somewhere
his mother waits
Eyes turned inward
Pain never abates

How could this
happen to me?
What is it
that I don't see??

This is my baby
Born innocent
and pure...
Who stole him
from me?
Will this horror
long endure?

How do I
reach out?
What to say?
How much pain,
must I pay?

God, give me strength,
God, give me hope,
God help my
