God made Sunday a holy day of rest,
to kids it's playing baseball all noon

In twilight's embrace, I seek solace,
A river, a stream, my final dance,
To die with dignity, my heart lay's at rest,
In gentle grace, I find my peace,
A legacy woven in words noble art,
Farewell, I depart, with love, and respect.

The Dignified Doorman 

In the thirties when fish factories in my town closed, the sardines 
didn’t swim near shore, they swam further into deep the ocean.
Perhaps collective memory told them not to go near the coastline.
Like the war, it was forgotten when old sardines died out and the new 
generation swam too close to shore

I was immersed in an impervious imagination
of these frail flowers feigning a feel of freedom
I watched their wings whirling in whoredom
