Inside Out Outside In

The world is nothing
If not a continuum of beliefs and practices
Along a spectrum of consciousness
Within an infinite sphere of awareness;
It’s all light
And it’s everywhere
But not in equal measure.
In other words, that light shines differently
In each of us,
And so each of the cultures we create exist
On a continuum
From high to low.
We don’t see what we don’t want
But we see what we compulsively project
Not like it’s a choice
Just a given for the filters we bring
The ones we inherit
The ones we learn.
What differentiates the individual path
And progress of individuals along it?
Refinement, subtlety and internalization.
What starts big, grandiose, overwhelming
Eventually becomes commonplace and manageable
Until it too passes in its own small way.
It’s called growing up and growing old.
The Universe will have us all
Swallowing us whole
Kicking and screaming
Or smiling and laughing
It matters not to that final hole.

Premium MemberProxy For Love

Dogs, cats, children, mates, heck, even strangers
sometimes find themselves drawn close
in proximity to something
they feel but may not
even know how to articulate.

Such is Life.

Like seeking like,
the comfort of others
in security
obviously, but more so,
fundamentally so,
in love.

Love is what fuels Life;
an axiomatic recognition
that differentiates the spiritual
from the mere material.

Spiritual values have lost favor
because by definition they are intangibles,
and as such subject to vague and fuzzy thinking.
But the spiritual qualities we all know
are so obvious to be taken for granted;
love, patience, kindness, generosity, perseverance, humor…

What would Life be without them?
And so it goes,
the pull towards a center
shifting in each instance,
each relationship.
We think it’s warmth the pet or child or mate
is seeking as it cuddles close
but it’s proximity it craves
and needs; a proximity
that’s a proxy for love.

Home, Hearts and Seagulls

HOME, HEARTS,AND SEAGULLS

Home to the heart of me
Never in violins, never in clouds

But always in smoky blue skies
Above seas spinning white waves of foam

Sunsets never let me down
Evenings always bring me peace

Moonlight and pagodas rest my eyes
Home nearer to the heart of me

Sincerity differentiates lovers' hearts from fools
Not for everybody but those who cogitate life’s beneficence

Home, hearts, seagulls and summer breezes
Are things that bring home closer to my heart

Never deny the heart is where home is.

Premium MemberUnity

The world is made of diversity and in it
We are to find unity!

The world itself is layered
Its living species varying
From starfishes to buffalos, yet,
It gives all of them
Their due depending upon
What their system needs without ever
Thinking that one species needs lesser
Than another one!

Similarly, it differentiates not
Between humans, giving them
Adaptation facilities depending upon
Where they live and how they need
To struggle for their own survival!

So, we, as elevated conscious beings,
Are to learn this lesson
From the world itself
And we are to behave
As it does
As only there where there are
Feelings of brotherhood and acceptance
Shall we be able to move on
And adjust to the growing hostility
Thrust upon the world by the
Keepers of evil shadows!

The New Humans

They no longer resemble us exactly,
less hair, higher head-domes.
We cannot help but feel
that we are the new Neanderthals.

They are laboratory birthed, cloned.
Yet it’s easy to like them,
they have all the useful humanities,
less of the confused rage of ordinary beings.

Of course they are smarter,
quicker to find solutions to problems.
Just like us they are citizens -
none are criminals.
In many ways, they are new and improved.

The Government is pushing
for procreative union
between the Neo-Humans and us,
but frankly most of us
are reluctant – instinctively hesitant.

There is this more primitive,
yet more creative gene that differentiates us.
We paint, write poetry, dream,
hope for the impossible,
love recklessly.

Romantic love has little meaning for them,
they are more practical,
but we know that practical marriages
have no magic,
and we can, we must still -
have magic.

Lockdown

It's lockdown everywhere,
each one of us are sitting on a chair.
We all are at home,
can't even think of going to Rome.
Neither we can go out nor roam,
it just brings boredom.
It's a boring life,
hope everything comes back in a while.
All the business and work going down,
we are playing a role of a clown.
There is no source of income,
we don't know where the money will come from.
Still we are locked,
without knowing about the outcome.
Now, as we all are at home sitting idle,
do some household chores, take out some time
for Geeta, Quran, Guru Granth Sahib and Bible.
The whole world is in danger
so stay away from stranger.
To stay safe we should follow some rules,
that differentiates between us and the fools.
It's an epidemic time, we all can surely fight
there won't be any demons for fright,
still if you have doubt,  look at those dreadful sight,
so maintain social distance, on our master's insistence
 for our future existence.

Stay home, stay safe.

Everyday is the same
Only the date differentiates these passing days
Quiet rooms no one to call
Regret, extreme fears, ultimately self-hate
Souls a wreck sleep all day but feel no rest
Dancing in the graveyard of my dreams in my head
Something has got to change
Want to stop fantasizing about suicide and death
And I know nothing will change depressed in my bed
I awake and get dressed
Still numb but still moving
I’ll free fall off the edge
Stepping off the porch I breathe deep eyes adjust to the sun
Finally I feel something
Calm, accepting, and at peace
I won’t be the reason I die before I’m dead

The Sounds of Silence

I’m in love with the silence.
The thick layers appear
They display as opaque
But they are easily pierced
A small adjustment
Metal appliances click
The wood cringes
The cloth swishes
But still it envelops
All spaces it spreads to
Filling up the room
Also In its company
Breath moves along
The sleeping human
The snoring dog
It waves with silence
It is the drumbeat
It differentiates life
From the quiet of death
It rises and falls
Not far past the body
But silence goes further
Beyond the arm
Beyond the lung
It scatters like sand
It saturates like water
Dammed by sound
Displaced as darkness
When light turns on.
The noisemakers stir
The sun lights the ground
Silence retreats now
I wave it off resistant
But knowing it will return

The Third Time

Without the warmth and light of your soul the world withers and dies as if a human without oxygen
The human concept cries and rewrites the whole story of what it really means to be alive in your eyes.
Without you the world doesn't rise, no, it all falls on what we all rely on to be safe.
There's millions, if not billions of ways that what I'm saying to you has been said
But what differentiates my name in place of those pages is the way your eyes sparkle as we kiss in bed
The way you smile when you see me and the way your eyes shine when the light hits just right

That is what we rewrite

We rewrite the way lovers fall and scream the way that lovers do
We see each other and we/rewrite

But it's never enough to explain the very way my heart races when I see your name

It's never enough to explain how you make me feel like I'm not insane because
of the pain

And it is surely never enough to truly convey what has been said millions if not billions of times

That I have fallen for you, for the third time tonight.

Boucler La Boucle

Turning rolling spinning in circles
changing negative to positive
The positive starts to rotate
The revolving starts then stops...
Then starts again
The revolving starts to rotate
changing positive to negative
in circles...turning, rolling, spinning.

Time is earth
Continuous circular motion
The positive starts to rotate
Orbiting the sun
Earth never differentiates
the rotating starts to revolve
Light then darkness then light then darkness
again and so and so forth
time goes...earth never stops.

Life is based on decisions
the revolving stops...then starts again
Division impression and new beginnings
dictate how we decide

Impression is harmless
in the eyes that requires opinion
the revolving starts to rotate
Harmless opinions...spawn division
Society's machete pointed incision
punctures mankind.

Positive changes to negative the new beginning.

Time is given by life
the right way
Time is taken from life
the wrong way

Yet earth lives
Turning, rolling, spinning.

Death

When night comes to stay then
you know the true meaning of
darkness
It makes you cry from the
despair of the heart and your
tears flows like a running river
Memories flashes
through......when the soul
begins to search life
life is a running race only death
puts an end to it
Then you realize you will walk
the lonely walk
someday...............
 Only time differentiates
between life and death.

Kintsukuroi

Awkward abandoned outcast
Broken, battered, beaten
Crumbling from its misery and torture
Dead ere death nears
Everything returns
Fragility accents its blessing
Giving supplement to the split seams
Honing on the strength
Illuminating beauty of scars
Jargon accepts and aids rather than excludes
Keenly the binding shines
Longing for fresh form flees
Mind readies itself for the future laden with experience
Nostalgia fades and never acceptance flies toward
Over the mist of muted mind
Pain contributes to its newer beauty
Quiet and not quick
Radical, ready, rebellious fight
Subtle, yet definite and inevitable
Thorns frame for future sores, yet the body accepts
Unique, distinguishable will to live
Vexations appear in cycles with each distinct print
Waiting for better dissipates toward nature
Xenolythe transitions to a familiar substance
Yes to adversity, yes to pain, yes to suffering
Zest differentiates form the past

Passion

Passion is the cuckoo that wakes you up in the morning.
Passion is the key that unlocks your spirit.
Passion is the fuel that helps life run.
Passion is the pillow that helps you sleep.

Passion is what instills purpose into your life.
Passion is what fires your spirit and stirs your soul.
Passion is what differentiates the lived from the survived.
Passion is what takes you a step closer to salvation.

Premium MemberIt's a Splendorous Dusk

A period so loved, there’s none better
No better desire than this incredible time
A time of day that leads into night
Nighttime that blends with the last light
Light that preaches of tremendous feeling
A Feeling like none of the daytime hours
Daytime hours leaves only glimmers of its splendor
It’s a splendorous dusk, an hour of triumphant grace
Gracefulness completes its glamor of décor
Only a décor that came to be stated at night
Night plays off the light, differentiates it
A differentiation relives each period, but better
