Deviousness Poems | Examples

Premium Memberwaking through lower realms

the truth is inconvenient
as also unapologetic
but when voiced
is resisted

conflict looms
not of our making
we view as unfortunate
the decline of righteousness

although outcomes matter not
we stand for what is honest
nonchalantly observing
deviousness at play

it is not for us
to educate the other
but we would lessen ourself
if we cowardly look the other way

Premium MemberSad Violin Tunes

A soft breeze teases
The spider’s web plays
Sad violin tunes
An eerie silence
Accompanying
Its Phantom of the Opera
Deviousness
The strings vibrate
With a musician’s need
To reach, to touch
An unseen Audience

Premium MemberThe Echo Returns Not

We see their subterfuge
A low animal cunning
Geniality a camouflage
Deviousness concealing

We recognise but judge not
For as at this coordinate
Moving in a narrow ego slot
Baser instincts precipitate

Whatever for them we do
Casting pearls before swine
As they stir the toxic brew
We pray that love may align

Outcomes inconsequential
Yet no need to trauma bond
Sidestepping the inimical
We flow on with no demand

Our suggestions unsolicited
Find in hearts no resonation
We walk away love unrequited
Immersed in our own meditation

Be Grateful

Be grateful you have work,
be diligent and do not that work shirk.

Be grateful you have a home
consider the untold homeless thousands
who through the streets roam.

Be grateful for your small income
and do not resort to feeling glum,
consider the many who have none.

Be grateful for friends and family,
for love and enduring beauty.
Consider the many whose lives are lived so bleakly.

Be grateful for good health,
envy not those with great wealth
consider this may have been obtained thro' deviousness or stealth.

All that you have, all that you are, appreciate
before it becomes to late.
And for others never cease to pray,
how bright then becomes your day./

Premium MemberSex In An Elevator

This is just an experiment
To see if it will work
Post a title with “Sex” in it;
I know; I’m such a jerk.

My poetry gets so few views,
I thought I’d try this trick;
See if the view count goes sky high
Because I put the word “sex” in it.

Sorry to disappoint
But no nudity in here.
Thanks for stopping in, however,
Your motivation is obviously clear.

See if my view count is abnormally high
Compared to other poems I post;
I’m thinking due to my deviousness
This one will have the most.

So if you want your views to soar
You can do what most others do;
Post comments on the other’s poems
To increase your poetry’s views.

But if you are a punk like me
And try the system to circumvent;
Use a title that’s provocative
And upward your views are sent.

Someone Kidnapped My Heart!

My soul has been stolen!
My innocenece has been torched!
My mind has been corrupted!
My deviousness has been ignited!
My wild side has been unleashed!
My imagination is being toyed with!
My heart has been torn from my chest!

Tragic victems of this so-called 'love'
Only to be knocked off your feet
Only to have your mind poisioned..

Opening yourself up to love only leads to tear and blood shed
Allowing someone to know the real you
They throw your kindness to the ground and smother it until it's killed

We all know deep inside that most love never lasts long and we're just setting ourselves up
for banishment and hurt..

So why do we take this undying chance and leap?
