The engorged sky billows,
a monochromatic delight
of soft tones ...
a lullaby
of tissue paper edges
fragile as a primrose.
The bashful sun blushes
sending pastel light through notes
of grey to white
soft, velveteen.
harmonies overlap
shadow less, spiritual.
Ah, the sweet octaves
of visual light defrayed by motes
of earthly ash
upon the sky
bring such joy to mankind
fragile as a primrose.

Callus and cold the day
Walking out to meet the wind
Temperature being not the friend
Passers by with normality
Cars if you will
They were driving
Remembering out of the blue
The things one used to do
Longing with each step
Wanting bad dreams
Not to become real
Feeling numbness set in
Knowing a need for safety
Money popped up as a frame
Tomorrows another stay
Hope not defrayed
