Just “Kiddin”
Miracle man
10/26/2024
Any story travels fast,
in a three dog town.
Moments from inception,
it will move crosstown.
Once a close group,
now fragmented friends.
Each waiting on the other,
to make amends.
It shouldn’t take much,
just issue a retraction.
For what began as a joke
got an overreaction.

Crossing over the next life level
over the hill double digits
crosstown 59th, uptown 60th
my closest friend RX
guide, translator and dispensary
preferred or not preferred
formulary or non-formulary
designed to self-destruct
at the non-preferred level
always in pain trying to sustain
RX slapping dollar dollar bills
from hand to hand just insane
multi billion dollar industry
and a world still in pain
the non-preferred psycho
government's best friend
we the people, yes we can
crossing over the next life level
minds must unsubscribe
life after life choosing sides
hate on hate constant genocide
and no vaccine to prescribe
non-preferred life unchosen
still trying to be freed
I can't breathe
bodies worn and torn
building non-formulary economies
I can't breathe
non-preferred in a democracy
racism still at eye’s view
in a world of many hues
minds of many still confused
the world’s republic is changing
a Pharmacracy is evolving
in the cracks of humanity.

Mustn't slow down
headed crosstown
To a barn made of lodgepole pine.
There's a showdown
at the hoedown
Where we dance with cows and swine.

Naked Be---
by Odin Roark
lettin’ the words drip
crosstown
uptown
downtown
any town
through alleys
valleys
hustle-street tallies
tell it like it is
‘cause if it don’t read
it’ll never breathe
teasin’ is pleasin’
and dreamin’ has meanin’
and no one wants naked be
what naked sees
uh uh

Early in the morning do you sometimes get up
and hear everything
from the dog's cough
three yards down
to the lone car on the freeway
way crosstown?
Early in the morning do you sometimes get up
and see everything
from the vacuum in your way
to the bathroom
to the lone star still left
in the lightening sky?
Early in the morning do you sometimes get up
with a mind so clear
that everything you have
ever done or said,
heard or seen,
lived or dreamed,
is perceived in a new light?
And you can understand
as never before
the web of lies, half-truths and artifices
that you have woven into the fabric,
not just of your life but
of so many others,
and the truths that you have chosen
to ignore nudge you in the shower
and cause you to resolve,
as you count out your morning
with coffee spoons,
grab your juice and toast,
to make this day the one you live
as you were meant to,
without guile,
generous in thought and deed,
open to all righteous possibilities.
And early in the morning
as you back your car into the street,
switch the radio on to
"the news you need to know"
do the early morning resolves retreat
with each revolution of your wheels?
