A cheetah’s caught cheating – bad lad
Is punished by Mum, THEN by Dad
He’d cribbed his homework
His dad went berserk
This cheater got caught, I’m so glad!

An English teacher named Rosie
Thought one of her pupils was dozy
He’d cribbed off the web
From a man in Zagreb
The language he’d used was too prosy!
In false glory he’d tried to bask
So Rosie she took him to task
She said it’s not neat
if you try and cheat -
when needing some help you should ask!
NB cheaters is an anagram of teachers!
Sadly this is based (with some poetic licence about Zagreb) on a true event in the school I worked at. The english teacher was fully aware of the capabilities of the student and it was blatantly obvious the work was not his and it was merely copied and printed off the internet ... he failed to get a mark

The quite ebony night blew its warm teasing breath---
taunting my wet shining sable skin with a faint coolness.
The paused crescent moon struggled with opaque-like clouds
to dispense sojourning light as it trekked across the sky
towards the self fulfillment of its circadian journey.
All around---within the tree cribbed space,
fluttering little arthropods darted about---
flashing bits of light, as if to impart
pieces of truth the diabolical night offers
to those in the search there of: truth---
the light of the contemplating souls of darkness.
In the precinct of the darkness of night, light lurks---
always on patrol---juxtaposed superior twin:
blinking and winking behind guarded shades.
Thus…wherever darkness seeks to go and abide,
she finds companion light luring from the shadows:
welcoming her to coexist in peace, love and truth.
Soon, these co-habiting twins will usher in
another tomorrow. May God not forget us---
so enlighten us---that we continue to strive to build
a new world order---reflecting peace, love and justice.

She Stole My Thunder!
My wretched Amanuensis
Has turned my nemesis.
By her scribbling kit
Cribbed my entire writ!
What a wretched cheat
She has stolen all my heat!

Just as I laughed, I cried
Just as I Thought, I lied,
Buried alive my emotions, I dried.
Just as I found myself, I again disappear,
Just as I geared up to fight, I got clear,
I am so down to earth; everyone instils inside me a fear.
Just as I got friends, I gained enemies,
Just as we united, we fall in dichotomy,
Understanding malformed to persuasion, relationship soaked in folly.
Just as I held hands, I slipped,
Just as I was kissed, I was cribbed,
Anonymously trapped in relation, my integrity got killed.
Just as I grew, I got condition,
Just as I flew, I got illusion,
Fallacy overpowered truth, I earned delusion.
Just as I tried to change, I got resistance,
Just as I hold to cry, I begged persistence,
Just as I transformed self, I was gifted “Isolation”.
