Costlier Poems

Today Im Fifty Three

Gentlemen, I’m fifty-three!
“Now, can I still climb a tree?
Atop tree raise hands with glee
Repeating “Atop thee, Gee!”?
An Apt Gift for this Birthday!
Yet, for biggest cash I pray:
A bad left ear should not stay;
Heard sounds with the left just stray…

Perhaps, I’ll try dwarfish tree
For ascent with bones not free:
Taut muscles that don’t agree
About adjustable knee…

I’ve kept ageing: it’s no fun:
Popular big dream a son,
Who won’t crave a smart shot gun
Honest labor in the sun…

Fifty three is thirty-five
If turned the other way round
But thirty-five more alive:
A far cry from underground…

A celebrant’s choice is joy!
Who might be on Birthday coy?
If one should be coy, mere ploy:
Stage Acting tried to employ…

Quite long I ceased being a boy:
Like one I can’t myself buoy;
Now a fact I’m Fifty-Three
Almighty God, I thank thee…

All the drama with Evil,
Romances with the Devil:
To my critics not civil
For costlier rice, no weevil…

Farewell to Fifty Two years.
Adieu to Fifty Two’s fears!

Nigerian Patriot In Us Detroit

Ade is a Nigerian patriot
But permanent in US’ Detroit,
There, charming Nigerian Flag hoisted,
Bared schemes upon him foisted…

Ade, The Rare Nigerian Patriot,
Scarcely planning to leave Sweet Detroit,
Shall unfailingly shoot all of them,
Giving his Giant. causeless problem:
Politicians who might risk Rigging
He’d begun their graves a-digging:
For them the cheapest US caskets,
A little costlier than Mum’s baskets;
Never to stubborn pressures relax
On compatriots evading Paid Tax…

To keep performing civic duties,
From where he had kept quaffing fruities.

Meaningful

Meaningful

From the moor cries were genuine
Not betrayal it was
A cosmetic topped democratic

Poor quarrels were hopeful
Lying down in icy cool
Majority of halves, got torture being fool

Things are right, things are right
Gentleman's notes from air
In warm and costlier coats

Guys! view seriously them
Plied in open cool
Binding hands like accepting
Besmeared tyranny from both sides

Yes, this is the way I experienced
My favourite freedom
Earned shedding blood of youths

I supported them blindlessly
Doing nothing
Just being a visitor heartless

Both were succouring me seeking
Corroboration meaningful
In meaningful tips

Pelted stones and blank fires
Instigated me run run
How could I and others do
Being a demonstrator lameness.

Yet, in North Big Himalaya assures
Across the world numerous friends
Helpless those and me
Breathing cold air in morning sun

Will be solved, tears down
In the evening welcoming gloom
Still in the pages of heroes
Wait, stay and learn
Be calm always, east burns sun.

The New Birth

In the dark ages,
The world lay bare
With no care
In the inhabitants lives.
As time flies
So knowledge grows
From height
To height till it springs
Something tangible.
Then a blessing and a
Curse was conceived
Which bcame compatible
With the society,
A new society.
The new birth brought
Means of destruction
Of lives
And the creation
Of medium of easier
Movements like flying
In the air,moving
From one planet
To another planet
With measures costlier.
An instrument of death
And life like two-edged
Sword,out of its sheath.
Your bearers are judged
As scientists with
intentions.
What intentions?
The savior of mankind?

Premium MemberThree Groups of Jeans

My jeans are all piled into three groups
From thin to as wide as hoola-hoops
     Diets are such tedium
     Finally back at medium
Efforts to get there would shock our troops

With nineteen pounds lost in just six weeks
I’m once again proud of my rear cheeks
     I can credit V-8 juice
For help making my jeans loose
Thin jeans require costlier techniques

Sue's Hat

On our honeymoon to Austria,
Sue liked a Tyrolean hat in green.
Although it was costlier
Than others we’d seen,
I bought it, so I didn’t look mean.

To a Polka Dot Leo

and the whole earth is his
from the water on open lea,
a probable season of the skies
crying cats and dogs
to even the polker dot pard
alert,attentive,to the earths
heaven,life,and hells trio

in the upper room of the earth
from the mountains peak
to the mountain lions
with the words of old
an igniting hearth
far costlier
than vanity or wealth
and the skies of red,
burning hurried
to a diamnd star
or its siblings myrrh
with the moon of dull
but bright for the night

something must be done
from day to night
that seems majorly undone
as the dew rolls over a tear
to the dead of the dawn
or the last yaw
of the faithful dog
unto the masters leg
early it shall cling unto
like we who cling
unto God

generous God
the one who gives the fowl worm
still the swallows the fowl
and even the swallows
the snake to prowl
with big tentacle eyes
of he worlds view,
like an owl
but silent

A Dream Comes True

A dream comes true.

                 Long awaited, now at last.
Bringing forth, now the dream alive
Conceived in mind, days and nights.
The laurels of victory, here they come.
                 Like a pregnancy, thus entailed,
The agony, the pain and fear alike.
But the joy of birth surpassed them all.

                 A dream comes true!
                 Costlier than money can trade
                 The heart becomes a fountain
And there flows the stream of joy
