Smoking cigarettes while remaining patiently waiting
For the next bussing southbound to my local neighbouring.
Sun is setting while many warm colours in the sky are blending.

Buses are so packed.
I think my back has just cracked
As the bus had backed.
Ride these buses patiently,
En route to his place daily.

She jumped on the line
Through color and light
Traveling in vibration
On projected sound's might
Neutral in nature
Neither here nor there
Just being present
As word is shared
Something was removed
And lines became jumbled
She found herself caught
Made to trip and fumble
...the ball
She stopped enjoying
The journey of travel
Her heart began to focus
On the tightening ravel
Everywhere she looked
Balls of energy gathered
Words unsung
Magnetized all matter
Light appeared randomly
In surges of power
Black as tar wailed
As pink began to cower
...TRUTH

My bike is powered by a need
To get to work, to earn a crust
To avoid a tedium of traffic jams
To get through this cold rain alive
To weave between the brutal cars
To end the journey and arrive
My bike is powered by a need
To re-live golden days we had
To be back with the ones I love
To save the planet from some pain
To heal my health and love the stars
To see and kiss your face again

Sway, rumble, stop.
Swish go the doors.
"Mind the gap."
Shuffle round the floor.
Everyone squeezes.
Can I get a seat?
So many people
You cannot help but meet.
Sway, rumble, stop.
Swish go the doors. “Mind the gap." Shuffle round the floor.
In comes a man.
We all make a huddle.
There's nowhere left to stand
(Unless you have a cuddle).
He twists and he turns, Like a pike on a rod.
Squish, squeeze, Squash,
My foot-“Oh, Dear Lord!”
Sway, rumble, stop,
Swish go the doors.
"Mind the gap".
Shuffle round the floor.
He had nowhere to stand. He had nowhere to sit. So he rested on my foot And that's the truth of it:
Ouch!

Five days each week I beat the rush,
avoiding confrontation's invitation,
returning to my convenient place,
as a fox to a favorite urban den.
The pavement radiates in summer's glow,
like steam rising from morning's coffee cup.
The open parking spot beckons ahead,
my chosen routine in sunrise's hour.
I recognize old stains on either side,
where others littered without remorse.
My sigh replaces engine's faithful sound,
a soft signal to open driver's door.
This fifteen minute uneventful drive,
in the quiet hour before I work,
makes me admire again the symmetry
of my car in its normal parking space.

Weekend Commute
I dissolved into grey crowds
Flooding Londons underground,
Loosing my identity in the flow,
Swimming with currents,
Counter cultural, guttural,
Warmed by the sight,
Of many travellers,
Taking their luggage,
For constitutional walks.
