As I walked down the streets of Laredo
I spied a Mexican hot potato
But better by far
A Cuban cigar
With a spicy Comanche tomato

As far as the eye could see
we rode our horse comanche man and me
we rode in snow and in the rain
through the mountains and grassy plain
we forged for food lived off the land
like his ancestors from way back when
then one night we stumbled on a bear
thats when comanche man dissapeared
so on my own with just a knife
I faught this bear for my life
the fight was long then the bear digressed
I put the blade between his breast
he looked at me with his gentle eyes
a finally moan before he dies
I thanked the bear for his life
I dressed him out and cleaned my knife
Comanche man was never there
he lead me to my test the bear

COMANCHE
My mounts and I are one.
Across the plains we fly
Like the wind that scours
Like the sun that burns,
The cold that kills.
The Buffalo Spirit thunders in my blood,
Guides my way through the featurelesss land:
I draw the bow
Strike and move on.
My ways are old
As the ways of Earth;
A harshness you have all forgotten.
Know this, White Man From The East:
If the Soul of this place
Doesn't lay you straight
To feed the soil with your bones,
I will.

demon allure coaxing me near
to a place inhabited
roadside flare
with ample provisions
action follows suit
distress, undressed with motive too
rustic claw piercing
tetanus thighs
sullied my hands and bolstered a lie
absolved of blame
i return unchanged

You brought along your wisdom as we were were walking
down this Comanche Trail
the images we saw
the truths you spilled I will not ever tell
You let me into a hint of your world
and made it part of mine
I treasure the memory
unlike anything I could possibly find
You make the day into night
as your voice echoes in the wind
you kissed me that night
yet you remain foremost a deeply loved friend
forgotten the place we left
we were on top of the world that day
your son and your lil sister as well
I love the thought of Comanche Trail
I will honor the images always
walkin mountains with someone you love
the sweat, and the laughter
the hours fly
and the water goes down so smooth ever after
member the lil boy who gave me something to read
as many were caught by our presence
triple takes and such
even strangers saw our intensity
i honor our moments very much
