‘Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?’
(Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 2)
Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?
Juliet, it is so cold when we perform this sweet tableau
so, twixt my legs, just a tiny icicle does grow.
Is it she you call sweet Rose that saps the strength from my sweet beaux?
That you wilt leave me so unsatisfied and not your gift bestow?
Thus, each night, you have such words which you dost nag and crow
and with them, it is that makes my manhood fail to show.
I Once gazed my wond’ring eyes upon your bulging codpiece so
Yet now, not so, again I ask; Wherefore art thou Romeo?
Oh my sweet Juliet, I am indeed in deepest woe;
this night, Friar Laurence, with my blue potion failed to show.

Over the toll bridge a young lord and prince
from the realm of Epsom landed Birkdale,
to seek sweet raptures in my limerence
by she possessed of its Unholy Grail.
In the virgin waters of Point Erin
stood a siren in her fair beauty all -
my heart dared to want and its flesh of sin
did upon her besotting favours call.
Remembered are the concubines of court -
a fire in my codpiece and in my jocks,
the jousting grey knights whom over you fought
and a Celtic Queen in long flaxen locks.
O’ what forbidden enchantment was she
and what soft lingering kiss given me.

Faint mysterious humour was just a facial rumour,
although you knew she meant business when you were with her;
I was carried under my master's arm for ten years,
when I was finished, nothing was as it appears.
I smiled because I knew I would be worth a fortune,
finally placed in the Louvre, not for sale anytime soon;
La Giaconda looked at me with her mystery,'
for five hundred years she had sailed thro' history.
I sat for a long time while Leo created my face,
suddenly it was done, everything moved at a pace,
no one would ever match my inscrutable look,
or really appreciate just how long it took.
You wondered why my smile was brought about by a new lease,
it was because I caught a glimpse of Leo's private parts behind his codpiece.

Soiree
We
Are “odd.”
Invite us,
And we will come
To your grand soiree
And mingle with your friends,
Speaking our uncensored minds
The nicey-nice types always frown
Oh no, it’s getting late! Nine-thirty!
Time to wrap it up. Thanks for having us!
So, now you have a decision to make:
It’s a simple question of values
Ours we showed by being ourselves
Yours will come out in the wash
Were we embarrassing?
Status unconscious?
Does that matter?
We won’t wait
By the
Phone.
Ebb
And flow
Of friendships
Just like the tides
In sometimes, then out
No sense in fighting it
We’d rather not hold water
That wants to return seaward
Not selling or buying, just being
Popularity? Sounds like a lot of work
Foregone, weighty codpiece of normalcy
Just waves, rippling on midnight seas
Flow towards us if we suit you,
But only if. Happy with
Each other’s company
Or even my own
E v a n e s c e n t
precious time,
spend with
care.
