(Poem base on Revelation 1:9-20)
The Clarion Call
On the Lord’s day in the Spirit,
Interrupted by a loud voice.
Time to write to seven churches.
The clarion call! Attention!
Interrupted by a loud voice.
‘Midst the lampstands, the Son of Man.
Robe, golden sash; hair, white as wool.
The clarion call! Attention!
Time to write to seven churches.
Physically on Patmos Island;
On the Lord’s day in the Spirit.
The clarion call! Attention!
“Write on a scroll what you see, John.”
Eyes like fiery flames, bronze feet.
Voice like the cascade of waters.
The clarion call! Attention!
Seven stars (angels) in right hand,
Sharp, double-edged sword from his mouth,
Countenance like the sun - full strength.
The clarion call! Attention!
Countenance like the sun - full strength.
John fell like a dead man. “Fear not,
I am the first and last, alive…”
The clarion call! Attention!
“Alive forever and ever
I hold keys of death and Hades.”
Eyes like fiery flames, bronze feet.
The clarion call! Attention!

Hark! The clarion call of enlightenment rings,
As education's chrysalis unfurls its wings.
Long fettered-by archaic pedagogical chains,
We now shed the husk of antiquated refrains.
In crucibles of curiosity, minds ignite,
Forging knowledge that pierces the night.
We architect academies of boundless scope,
Where queries bloom and nurture hope.
Not mere facts, but wisdom's essence we distil,
Cultivating resilience for life's uphill.
For the erudite maverick with cerebral fire,
And mentors who dare to inspire higher.
Arise! Let transformation be our refrain,
As we reforge learning's domain.
Our voices, a symphony of choice and change,
Through adversity's gauntlet, we arrange.
In these halls of intellectual renaissance,
Every mind finds its resonance.
As vestiges of the old order fall,
We pen new axioms for one and all.
These bastions of thought, our legacy true,
Where futures are sculpted, both vibrant and new.

Arise o compatriot, Nigeria's call obey
To save her from going astray
Stand not aloof this is our Clarion call
Spread the news like you'll for a casting call
We're in for an urgent rescue mission
This isn't the time to debate religion
If we must forget about our crevasses
To have a great Nigeria without impasses
For this urgent call it's time to raise our voices
Nigeria is at the peak of many impasses
You've held many vigils to save her from attacks
In coming election let's make ourselves God's battle axe
Why would you want to sell your conscience
For those who only care about streaming in more affluence?
There's a time when silence is golden
Not this time that we should take our baton to save our barren

The rotting process,
The ailing wood,
Slowly its strength ebbed,
Gradually its resilience declined,
Blemishes made inroads to its core,
Its roots became feeble and frail,
Its boughs withered,
They fell off like drops of rain,
When wood becomes earth,
It is washed away by seasons” denude,
When wood sleeps,
It is home to crawling creatures,
A loss to nature’s tapestry,
A marker for tomorrow’s frayed beauty.

Time comes when we shall hear the sounding chime
Calling us to eternity’s banquet hall--
Signaling forever the end of this life’s earthly clime.
We would one and all ignore the upward climb,
Refusing to willingly respond to the call
Time comes when we shall hear the sounding chime.
Why do we turn away from the light sublime,
Which from time immemorial has beckoned all,
Signaling forever the end of this life’s earthly clime?
Seems whatever age, we are always in our prime,
Whether young or old, weak or strong, short or tall
Time comes when we shall hear the sounding chime.
Deceiving ourselves we think it ne'er sounds the time
For other's souls only comes the clarion call,
Signaling forever the end of this life's earthly clime.
Foolish thinking that never will come the time
That we can forever avoid the mourning at the pall,
Time comes when we shall hear the sounding chime
Signaling forever the end of this life’s earthly clime.

I was asleep when i first heard it
Loud and harsh in the dead of night
It rang out a message,a call
Come mothers,fathers,brother and all
So up in a daze I stumbled
Running out, shirt unbuttoned
Was this the beginning of the end?
If so who would they send?
The crowd grew,people whispered
What could have happened,they wondered
A clarion call we thought was a bit much
Yet did we gather outside the church
Silence fell with the Chief's voice
Slicing sharply through the noise
"The worst has happened
Draw your swords,have it sharpned
Indeed while at night we all slept
Our beloved City endured a theft
Gather all the young men of valour
For our village whore has lost her honor".

We live in a time where people crave for reward
Always serving with their eyes wide open
Or you can better say, 'eye service'
And that's just because the inspectors or soldiers may chase
It doesn't matter whether it is allowee or money
Secret service is the service of the clarion call
Not because of what we want to get
But cause of what we have to give
As corpers, there are certain things we need to shun
No wonder they will always shout, 'COPER SHUN!'
Moreover, any reward gotten here will end up in màmi
Which could be the camp màmi, PPA màmi, or even our retirement màmi
All these may look like a drill
But remember; life in itself is a drill
So, we just need to run
In fact, double up our race

Peace and sweet taste delicious
Fire of sacrifice of themselves behind,
Come on, come on say he calls
Beautiful unity ahead of time or by the road
The victory of theosopy
Beautiful world and for peace
Sweet tasty fire of sacrifice behind,
Happy life, the rhythm of theosopy.
Inside a temple in he calls
Peaceful with life and beliving-
Peace living beings for life
Cold water to and pure give peace.
All the cool air in this world to flow
Always good to have rain,
In the heart of mankind, giving theosopy
Come on, come on say he calls.
