Chrissie's Last Swim

In the twilight glow of drinking
Racing gaily over dunes
Stripping down, a natural beauty
Bouncing curves shaped by the moon

“What’s your name, again?” He questions
“Chrissie,” she calls, rather stunning
He asks, concerned, “Where are we going?”
 “Swimming!” she then answers, running

And so he chases her, enchanted
Awkwardly pulling at his clothes
Into the ocean, bare, she splashes
But to the edge is all he goes

Swimming out, she flaunts her leg
Laughing, he can’t get undressed
She calls him, one last time, to join her
He drunkenly falls down and rests

And so, without him, toward a buoy
On the sparkling ocean shimmer
As an ancient, lurking danger
Hunts the silhouetted swimmer

Then treading lightly in the darkness
Smiling, looks back for her boy
Who is not swimming out to meet her
Despite her offered naked joy

Then comes a sharpness to her ankle,
By dangling feet it pulls her under
“Oh, God!” she cries, in surfacing
Screaming, “Help me!” far asunder

But, no one hears her desperate pleas
As it drags her, to and fro
Briefly gripping the floatation
She’s grabbed again, then pulled below

A Stranger

stranger
Yes me, I don`t hear it anymore
Aimlessly, hardly aware it was gone.
I tell you , listen ,please listen
oh do listen to me . . .
Iterclacing of the horror
Ever growing dark corners of my youth .
silence . . .
Dazzling display int`t it .
I hear it no more
The angry voices plunging me into a nightmare
ment for death and destruction
" no vacancy " it was written
All over the heart of a stranger .
or so i thought
It was a lost cause
Like the sun rising at night
A speeding bullet flew by
came to a stop in this heart
No magor damage
or so i thought.
Only one prayer send by
one caring heart, yes
one kind word expected by a friend,
recieved by a stranger.
when in the dark you lose
sight of love,
when quite time reach shore.
when laughter turns into crying.
when fears become a reallity.
i`ll keep this promise
i will be here.
Remember me, you will
remember me.

Sorrow

sorrow
for so swiftly the forest grew
a painful game that rests
upon this shameless moon

one mocking bird flew out of sight
as shaddows could not follow in its flight

o the agony , o what painful regret
where two stars bound to meet
time and time again

the stream had passed
for this flow may remain

as strrong as feathers bend
peek over the top and you will see me there
o come along dearest friend

we shall live till the end
look me up at oceans bay

the tides had swamped me away
the boat has sailed
never found but failed

though you say nothing
it's clear the pain in those blind eyes

countless days
endless nights
pray you see me pray i'm there

                                                                              - chrissie harmse

Chrissie

 At such a tender age
my feelings, i refused to gauge
the controversial love mirage
of a little sage.

From Genesis to nemesis she remained queen
in my heart which all love with keen
while seeking to be next of kin.

Her price i paid
through patience and pain
insult and hate-rain,
but her heart, i won with style.

Chrissie is that gal i love so.
her haters calls her sow,
my life, my soul.

For Chrissie

For Chrissie
What a beautiful young woman you've grown up to be.
Your two little boys are little apples, that have fell very close to the tree.
One is two, the other three.
Treasure these times with them as they will fly by.
I remember when you were their age.
Those eyes, so big and brown.
And that smile could light up any big city town.
Teach them well.
Give them everything you are.
You`ll have nothing to worry about.
They will sure go quite far.
You`re such a good mother.
So kind, so true.
Your little angel boys are the luckiest to have you.
