Stay away from me
Our good times have gone away
Cheaters never win
Come on sing me a sad song
So I can laugh, while you cry

The east side of the river
I truly defend
The west side of the river
Had a fake rule
Used sad tactics and tools
To the west side of the river
Bend on your knees
And pray this may be
The last trip southeast
Because your tactics are weak
And belongs to the one who
Lives many feet beneath
The east side of the river
Has much talent that
You believe can be bought
This was given by the big guy
And both sides of the river
He defends for right
That is quite why you lost tonight
The east side of the river
I truly defend.
This is a cliche'
And I will say it today,
And smile and wave,
Cheaters never win!
12-12-10
Somebody told me that cliches are dead
But what if I run out of things to say
Can I say "to know me is to love me"
Or "tomorrow is just another day"
What about "liars never prosper and cheaters never win"
Would I be accused of reviving the dead
"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"
Or is it "an ace in the hole instead"
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder"
Or if you fall "it's only a scrape"
What if I tell them to "button your lip"
Will they get "all bent out of shape"
But I'm "at the end of the pecking order"
So how much can I really know
I'll never use cliches again
Right after " I told you so"
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But so can a jealous wife
She knows how to swing a frying pan
And she carries a carving knife
I never understood why people cheat
Knowing they're gonna get caught
I guess it because they didn't know
About the poison she's already bought
And if the life insurance increases
It probably means she knows
Or maybe she's found an earring
You know how this story goes
Liars never prosper
And cheaters never win
So if you're planning on cheating
Then let the games begin
