Or more charitably
Rules are by nature fluid
Suited to conditions which are always
By definition conditional.
And so my rule of thumb for poetry
Less is more
Jostles with the other three axioms of creation;
Less is less
More is less
More is more
Always needing to be considered
In the broader context
Of what is being said
And to whom.

I've seen both sides now fore looking back...
nor lose sleep over anything said to anyone...

everyone expects you to be honest; Watch their back...
while fallacious, that little white lie, may...

Midnight stares from courageous eyes
A dark outlook in disguise
Striking cold behind a front
A frigid smile lands the stunt
Few words fool and appear as peace
As behind the lines, tears fight release
Emotions stay tucked behind a grin
Charitably giving whats been taken
Worn of hiding, it still endures
Deep down the damage anxiously roars

Feelings seem pointless when kept within
Treatise of love suborn
Of feelings, desires shorn
With parochial aspirations born
On ritual wings bourne
Romance brokered forlorn
On christening morn, personal

Parceled with dowry; with
annuities adorn
Liabilities, a fitted mantle
