Cautiously optimistic
even with the setting sun
violet eruptions dance
exodus of daytime woes

Birds cautiously landed on condo,
Then they were sure to look below;
Did burp;
Sang a chirp,
After seeing Trump stub his big toe.

Cautiously optimistic bout the summer ahead
Sticky and warm as usual or a cooler trend
Hope it's a sizzler
Don't like to shiver
Enough for nine months, want my threads to shed

Follow Cautiously
By Curtis Johnson
It’s not that one does not understand the advice
It’s that some have been an observer of human life
It’s not that one has not listened to the good and the wise
It’s just that not all counsel, though ancient, is always right
One must not always follow, without question, one’s heart
For the heart does not always make for great leadership
The heart sometime shifts from one way to another, and turns;
And often, the heart knows neither what to do, nor where to go
Moreover, the heart suffers from an ancient and incurable disease
It’s disease of deception is known only by the wise and the few
But the answer to its cure is not a secret,
If one dares to utilize its maker’s view

Its amazing just how much
Time can change and really touch
Your life turning it around
Changing shaky un-solid ground
Of a path you were taking
That was crumbling and breaking
With cracks and holes of bad fear
Following you everywhere
Each step more highly dangerous
Tiptoeing, being very cautious
That the next one wont explode
Bearing a bad heavy load
With little pieces of your past
Into a future that will grasp
Each one with a mighty vengeance
Destroying any hope or chance
Your steps will not lead into
More nightmares you cant get through
You close your eyes and move ahead
Wait for badness, but instead
A hand takes yours tenderly
Gently saying you are free
No more times of pain or sorrow
I'll make sure that each tomorrow
And step your taking from here on
Will slowly make the past be gone
Bad dreams will soon disappear
Your futures looking very clear
Believe me, accept my help
Because I've been there myself

I Am cautiously optimistic
I Wonder what I will do for the rest of my life
I Hear violins when I dance barefoot under the moon
I See Jonathan Livingston circling rainbows in the sky
I Want to be brilliant in a big comfy chair by the fire
I Am cautiously optimistic
I Pretend I’m an expert gardener as I clumsily till the earth
I Feel the cool breeze as it rustles through the pines
I Hold the sun in my hand and shed light on the darkness of the world
I Worry that my family will not know the depth of my appreciation
I Cry out loud
I Am cautiously optimistic
I Understand my integrity is measured by my actions
I Say don’t believe everything you think
I Dream that all my dreams will manifest in time
I Try to master the simplest things before I tackle the hardest
I Hope to make a difference in MY life today
I Am cautiously optimistic

To the wings of our dove, there is rosy parity
Fated to meet when the light meets the dark
Between us there is a bridge of love of solidity
As excited, I reached the bridge with hilarity
Hovering above me were dark clouds, Hark!
My eyes fixed on the other side with sere anxiety.
Standing on middle of the bridge with vivacity
Over her hamlet saw the firework’s sparks
Celebrating a wedding with awesome gaiety.
For the moment I thought it to be in her dignity
Was ready to burn the bridge between us as a mark
But later on learn it wasn’t her wedding in reality.
It was a life’s lesson not to burn bridge in adversity
Who knows if you burn the bridge in haste and hark
You may have to cross it again in your diversity .
