Premium MemberCobbled Street

Cobbled street is lowly lit with shadows all around.
Street lights flicker in the wind and now the rain is falling down.
Glistening cobbles under feet as the street winds on further down.
Curtains closed but light I see as families within settle down.
Cat winds through the iron fence to greet me with a purry meow.
His hedges protect him under his canopy as he observes the night for when the mice come out.
Cobbled street’s seen centuries of people walking where I walk now.
Cobbled street’s heard takes of mystery and seen evil deeds over its ground.
Cobbled street cambers unevenly where feet could easily lose purchase of their ground.
Cobbled street looks back at me as just another human who once walked down.

Four

.

                 …Just enough
                  To cause mine
                         Stir

                   hern midriff
                       chiseled
                   her cambers
                     from jowls
                         unto
                     her stubby
                         toes
                      desirable

                      Mine self
                        Guilty
                       wanton
                          and
                           all…

Phoenix

If the air can burn like fire,
Let your heart supply the flame,
Merge your passion with desire,
Till they both become the same...
Watching shadows as you cast them,
That reflect your inner peace,
Disappearing as you past them,
While they're searing in the heat...
Watch yourself in shades of amber,
Scorching earth as you collide,
With the skyline as it cambers,
Just beyond the other side...
So you rise due west of Heaven,
Just to settle in the east,
With your eyes upon the leaven,
As the sky begins to crease...
If the phoenix that has risen,
Is from the recess of your heart,
You'll return to the beginning,
So the fire can restart...

The Tale of Muchacho 2

And the second reason he laughed
The reason for his scornful laughter
Was that as soon as he breathed his last
His boys were gonna come in
And probably butcher her to death.

That was his way of life
The path he chose
He had no problems with it
He didn’t mind
Taking someone to hell with him

Maybe even God would be happy with her
And take it lightly on him
Coz there was no redemption
He knew that as soon as he kicked the bucket
God would send him straight to hell

The devil himself
Would personally welcome him
With open arms
And take him on a tour
Of the 13 chambers of hell

Not bad,
He thought to himself
For a man who had shown others
More than 13 cambers of his hell
But believe it or not
He was content
But not happy
Happiness was too far fetched
He was cursed
He was condemned

He couldn’t remember anytime
That he had been truly happy
He lived life on the edge
Continually testing the boundaries
Of God’s patience.

Pottery's Reality

Antique cambers of adobe magnetism
Smooth, creamy, and grimy in quick twirls of ardor
And heated fragile useful walls
Of voluptuous clay stand as a fluid performer of melody
Elegantly soaring through the clouds of dust
That gather on my shelf to level the tender ballet floor
On the toes of functional works of sculpture
The artiste glides to the tunes of the painted lined songs
At first glance this recitalist is still and motionless
But at a deeper examination
The entertainer is a lively carter master piece of poise and expression.
