Two Peasant Girls - on an old fence rail

Unyielding, in an otherwise
Unfeeling wintry day.
Meek smilers, head-scarfed. Blizzard- blitzed.
Shine sweet greetings my way.

More of that iced swiping blows up;
Briefly skews the vision:
Two little chubby bullfinches
Perched their low branch upon.

Bullfinches

Petals on the path.
I look up at the blossom
to see bullfinches.

A Chowder of Cats

A Chowder Of Cats

There's a chowder of cats on the corner
an exultation of larks in the sky
a troop of monkeys high in the trees
where the rhino's doth daily crash by

A pack of dogs patrolling the lane-way
a herd of cows at rest in the byre
a bellow of bullfinches grasping hawthorn
A mischief of mice staying warm by the fire

A parliament of owls swoop over golden corn
where an army of caterpillars stay low
a flock of sheep look down from the hills high above
a congregation of alligators sleeping in a row

A pandemonium of parrots rudely laughing
an unkindness of ravens unamused
a drove of bullocks seriously unimpressed
a bloat of hippopotami singing twelve-bar blues

Birds Collective

A parliament of owls listens to
The bellowing of bullfinches
And the chattering of choughs

At a wake of buzzards
Resulting from a murder of crows
Witnessed by a watch of nightingales
Assemble a crowd of redwings

In a congregation of magpies
Perch a charm of finches
As a squabble of seagulls
Causes a murmuration of starlings
To startle a piteousness of doves

Amid an exaltation and ascension of larks
And a convocation of eagles
A host of sparrows
Gobbles a diet of worms

Spring Showers

Spring Showers

I was born in the spring, the sound of the drops,
When the slopes of the snow melted stale,
Golden bird swing
Playfully taking off.

And the flocks were gathering in the sky, the clouds,
Burned in pools solar copper
Lake smoke fragrant frost
Not keep the night cold.

And cry spring breath,
Blowing off roofs track rigmarole.
Winter at his last gasp
Filmed faded bed.

Was the trail, sparkling rays
Spring, azure in the sky blue,
Merry splashing streams,
Murmuring, and repeating his chant.

I was born in the spring, in the lodge white
I smiled at the windows bullfinches,
I talked to them and sang,
Droplets playing until dawn.
