Bagatelle
You see the old olive tree at the entrance of the village
take it for granted until you see the tree is dying
still, it has about it a non-communicative dignity
an acceptance of life`s unplanned cosmic shortness.
Dying slowly, a botanist is trying new soil around
to get more mileage, but in the plant is
too old, cow dung or artificial fertilizer can stop the tree
bark goes wrinkled, 300 years is enough
To be dead is to be unborn
there is no second coming
Not even for a 300-year-old tree.
The morning wakes us up with a dance of sunlight
thought of buying a pair of shoes, bagatelles are
the sum of our existence.

Words are not enough
To thank you, Father
I can't even haveto say it
I just want to write
It down to the water
To sing it to a melody
To jot it in a poem
That you are so Handsome
In all the handsomest in the world, Father
You are more than an Artist
In all the artist of the world, Father
You are the Great Botanist
You make things that has life to grow
You don't escape your process
Everything is nicely done
You are a Great Florist
You arrange flowers so beautifully
That no lovers would complain
You are a Great Comforter
You comfort every sad heart
You discard every part that is ugly
You pacify a weary soul
For me the most part is that
You are a Great Forgiver
You forget that I'm a sinner
You forget that once I'm a prodigal son
A black sheep, a vagabond, a nobody
Yet, you still accept me of who I am
Thank you, Father for the love
And compassion of my soul.

in the gray forest, at the bottom of Germany’s forest black
There is a tree disguised as a sexy witch, with a voluptuous rack
Is this a Constantinople oak? A struggling botanist asked me.
Was he kidding? To me, it was only a gorgeous young tree.

A bottle garden adorns like the most elegant rose
Horticulturists’ pride featured in most writers’ prose
Crafted by the youngest ambidextrous botanist
Whose prowess blooms far beyond the cloud’s mist.
A terrarium intricately built from a crystal- clear bottle,
Coco fibers, variety of bijou stones, rocks and pebbles;
Charcoals, moss, ferns, tiny plants and worm castings,
Dry barks and many more for creative miniature gardening.

Dendrochronology studies a tree
Calculating how old the oak could be
By counting its internal rings
Rare knowledge that often sings
Filling a botanist with glee

she's kind towards me, she's so nice;
and I'm sincere to her as well,
we are in something more than love,
what are our dreams, it's hard to tell.
and last night, outside college gate
we met and she said she's afraid
about my love and our careers:
dreams price by detachment'll be paid.
retreat is not good for my dreams,
only to get her skin for love:
skin whose pleasures ain't eternal,
eroding derms are all above.
fire and it's works are my int'rest,
I want to be a volcanist;
she wants to increase production
for people, being a botanist.
I've to spend my life in rocks
by watching curves and sediments;
It's hard for me to be with her
checking insects, impediments.
so, we should not be one in life,
she should marry a botanist,
who loves her and her green wheat farms,
for love who's not an arsonist.
love and marriage are not the same,
we'll be in love though not in arms,
whene'er we'll meet aft that in life,
we'll be happy, not without charms!

The Dawn
I have voyaged far, crossed many oceans
I have seen the unseen, the grotesque.
We are cable of, but I have also met kind
people, I never sank into the abyss of cynicism.
I have seen flowers no botanist has, but I keep
it, a secret the nameless will be hidden.
I rejoice, for I have found my modest me
obliquely I was not here nor there confused.
as semi-transparent waiters passing my table
erased me from their memories.

Botany
Have you had a shower?
Yes dear, and changed my t. shirt too
you see, my dear, when I was in the amazon
collecting rare flowers, the local tribe called
me “the man who hates his face.”
Did you find a rare flower?
Yes, my lovely, I found you.
But the botanist whom I was carrying his luggage
refused to accept the human rarity
that is why your name is in posh books about
botany

Flower power is a vibe from a hippy time
And maybe there was even a hippy rhyme.
But what if I?
Flower power might be what the botanist grows with pride,
The many colors in his garden he will never ever hide!
Just want a rose?
To the baker in the kitchen flour power might be a play on words
Because he wanted to make his cookie cutter song birds!
Yummy to me!
Flower power might be the cure for depression blues
Because their message to you is honest, fresh and true.
Nature and fresh air.
Flower power might be different meaning to all,
Because to each the meaning has a vibrant call.
Peace, prosperity and health.

The New I
I have travelled far and crossed the oceans
I have seen the unseen, the grotesque we are
Capable of doing, but I have also met kind
People I never sank into the abyss of cynicism
I have seen flower no botanist has, but I keep
It a secret the nameless will remain hidden.
Rejoice for I have found my modest personality
Oblique I was nor here nor there and confused
Semi-transparent waiters passed my table.
Erased me from their memory like a cellar mouse.

Walking by the sea
Walked along the sea-shore
The breeze from the sea filled my lungs with goodness
The pavement was flat and smooth.
I walked for an hour, only stopping to inhale the air.
Alone and free of squabbling women, I felt at ease.
I feel invigorated, but I need a car to drive there.
When the womenfolk rules I find myself in the centre
Waiting as they go in and out of shops.
The sea a bit restless today smashed against rocks and
The air was filled with ozone; to my surprise there
Others had the same idea; they didn’t
Work sat their cars with windows open, and that is ok.
I saw a yellow flower among coarse grass
A hardy soul braving the wind and since I’m not
A botanist I didn’t bother to give it a name.

Just a day
The day is partly overcast, shadows and light
chase each other up and down a hillside,
where I came from nature is hardening
and there is already snow in the air.
Tiny lilac flowers grow under- don`t know their names
( do I look like a botanist)
Only the almond tree is bare of leaves, unpicked leaves
Hang like baubles that have lost their shine.
I take a walk on the road it is cartwheel wide and has fallen
into disuse, but for generations to come it will be a healed wound
across the landscape.
In front of me, a bird blue and white has fallen
out of the sky; I pick it up- its beak is grey
It blinks and dies gracefully.
I place it on a stone its soul is still in my palm
and gently blow to set it free.
A breeze makes the leaves tremble.
