We traveled all day long
Like two wandering gypsies
Couldn’t wait to get to our retreat
When we’d put up our feet
The allure of that secluded bar
With its bluesy sweet melodies
Awaiting table candlelit for two
We’ll cap off the evening
Swaying on through the night
With a glass of chardonnay
And linger till it’s time to sleep

I love the color blue I can’t say enough about it.
The color of my favorite fruit, blueberries; is simply sublime.
When I play the blues on my guitar
I am never blue but, elated;
the Blues just do that for me.
Blue beckons to me when I’m tired and
lulls me to sleep in its soft, cool pool.
Like the bluest of oceans, lures the winging seagull;
blue waters lure and entrance me with their majesty.
Though my blood is not blue, blue pours through my veins, calming my fevers and raging mind. Tranquility is mine when I meditate in the blue of heavenly light.
When I paint, I can mix a million shades of blue; a blue painting is sheer ecstasy; a place for my spirit to revel.
Why, even my old dog, Blue...loves blue!

Bluesy woman carry my tune
rasped in relegation
of a crying crimson moon
Forge forth steps of beaten breath
left alone in trepidation
destined to outdistance death
Blast out those baby blues
seep past storms of surrender
climbing barriers broken out by you
Bat your eyes and croon your cries
let your soul come play for me
build me up in a knock down world
in every simple note you bleed

Let me see
Let me learn
Let me rock
Let me dance
Let me hear
Blues shouters
Like B.B. King and Albert
While I can still
hear
till the end draws near
