Premium Memberdead eyes

 I open darken eyes
once,
the coins
have expired.

Come to conscious,
of the monstrous,
I wish,
I could never be.

Swans are gentle
like un-conditional
love of pups
we bring into the world.

This world
makes me mad
the fog of evil,
due to the on-going
devil
taking control of rich
mad of fools.

One day a year,
was a fantasy
to disappear,
No harm
 to a special time,
blowing out
candle rhymes,
wishing upon a star,
to dreams,
that we wish
to come true.....
We still have hope.

Five Days Late

Five days late…
His birthday almost forgot-
but not quite…

The hurt lingered deep.

A small package arrived
addressed to him--
Special
from Dad.

Inside: a watch.
A big boy gift,
for sure.

Gold and bright,
crystal light,
backstamped RollX--
a boy’s treasure,
for sure

Too large for his wrist.
No matter.
He would grow tall,
just like his Dad.

The watch was perfect,
just like it was,

Worn each day with pride--
a symbol
of genuine love and dedication…

How priceless
he was in Dad’s eyes…

Proof.

Scratches
and a flaking finish
didn’t matter.
Neither did
the crack across the face,
or the fact
that it always read
a bit after two.

A good polish--
and it was
good as new.

Like the day
he got it.

Five days late.

Premium Member Seems Like Yesterday Mystic

It seems like yesterday.
When you were to be our first born
We waited for your birth
Two brand new grandmothers that morn.

You took your time, but then we knew.
You had arrived safely and sound
We each held you our precious girl.
Our smiles and joy they knew no bound.

You are our great delight.
We’ve watched you grow up through the years.
 A woman you’ve become.
Our love shines brightly through our tears.

With tears of happiness
Congratulations we both say!
Now Twenty-One, how can that be.
It seems like Yesterday.

Birthday poem

Is age really just a number
With no money no slumber
When birthdays were a fun
Why now I feel that I am done
For each year I used to wait
Now each year appear as bait
When kith and kin were all fam
When we all were herd of ram
When Aunt was another mom
And well enacted the rom com
When Dadu play my super spine
When he’s there for every dine
When love gets lost in labour
No kin, no trust and no favour
In chamber of thorn in all line
Where wonder i if all is fine
In drums of drama’n distance
In every heart there is a fence
A hope resides like star shine
In million miles i may get mine!

what music can do

What music can do

Last night, all night, I listened to music
and my heart cried not in sorrow but
It flew away and soared in the beauty
of the human voice
No. I was not there in person, but that
Didn't matter; it was about the beauty
of us, yes, we are a great race, so
Why the hatred that is on those
who hate to hear our jubilant voice
I'm a poet dreaming that I once could
Write a poem bringing humanity into
a circle of love

Dirty shoe steps

Your shoes are getting shabby
over time and the story that has been spun
Do you still remember the drawing paper and brush?
I painted the colors that were dark at the time
Then we drew together
In flowing, abstract strokes

Ahh, I remember so well
The field across from our classroom
15 years old in the drizzle
The first piece of cake you took from my hand
And a book that made us dizzy

We were still so young
With hearts clean and untainted by love
Still pure in the grip of friendship

Will you remember it well?
Two young people now fragile in adulthood
And if I reach out
To just be friends again
At least we won't fall into despair

Premium MemberHappy 16th Birthday Bonnie

My Bonnie lass is sixteen now
Her birthday is today.
And for a husky that is old
I’ve heard our young vet say.

My dear old dog, we love her so
And glad that she’s still here.
Her routine every day is set
She’s trained us well each year.

A pup who loved to go for walks
I’d let her off the lead.
She’d run about, and proved to be
An independent breed.

We’ve watched her grow, she has great style
A husky through and through.
She loves to have our company
We spoil her, that is true.

A better friend could never have
Such joy to us she brings.
Although she’s old, still has her life
That pulls on our heart’s strings.

The years have flown, her time is near
No longer can she play.
But now she’s turned sweet sixteen,
     “Bonnie Happy Birthday”.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my blessed little Sister!
When we were young, Papa always called
You “Black Patti”! Now we know why:

A Senryu Quintet Tribute To “Black Patti (1868-1933): **
For My Sister, Sula “Black Patti” Baye (08/25/1943)

Water gives rivers life
I swanee, “Black Patti” gave
Life to the songs she sang:-

“Black Patti” felt that
Singing songs was to her, as
Sunshine to flowers:-

When “Black Patti” sang,
Flowers flooded world stages:
Concert Halls, sold out!

She was Mitilda
Sissieretta Jones: singing
Abolitionist!

Black Patti, rather
Than Adelina Patti, was
Their Era’s Greatest!

**When others sit down and do oursrorical research,
They will know why Papa gave you that honor. Go
And enjoy another blessed year, perpendicular to
Earth and Heaven. To God Be The Glory. In the
Onederful oneness of the onement of Extended
Family, Peace And Love, your favorite Brother,
       Deac.

One Year of You, Melissa

One Year of You, Melissa

One year ago, the stars began,
And heaven said, "She is mine."
A small spark, a breath so new,
The world was brighter all for you.

Your giggles flower like morning sun,
Your eyes, two stars that brightly shine.
Each step you take, each sound you make,
Turns average days awake.

You've taught us love in its pure form,
In warm fingers and sleepy sighs.
One smile, a coo so soft,
The world seems new with you.

We have witnessed you grow, in wonder, in awe,
Each step taken in love and law.
From lullabies to weeping whines,
You've filled our hearts, you've filled our skies.

Here's to you, our birthday star,
Our miracle, just as you are.
May grace and happiness be with you,
With oceans broad dreams to chase.

A single candle today, but, oh, the flame
It shines hope, it whispers your name.
Happy birthday, little dove,
You are our world, our limitless love.

Premium MemberMore Than Flowers On Your Birthday

This year, my darling love, you’ll receive more than flowers
Jewelry, candy, candles, gifts, kisses and chocolate bars
You will also get your AARP letter and your Medicare card
It’s vital that you take good care of yourself going forward.

Since you’re now sixty-five years old, you should feel blessed
Lucky, privileged and chosen. Please, please never get depressed
Age is always a good number, as long as you’re very healthy
And funny. The Almighty God is now watching over you regularly.

Eat well, drink more water, take your medications and vitamins daily
You’re now a senior, that’s a major step forward and a serious promotion
Since you’re retired, take a walk once a while. And that’s not being lazy.

You’ve worked all your life and have earned fair and square your pension
Your grandchildren and family will come to visit and spend time with you
I wish you a Landmark Birthday. Dear love, a blissful life is awaiting you.

P.S. This poem is dedicated to the sweet friend of my heart and soul.

The Architect's Design-Birthday Poem

Like a work of art,
Formed from thought,
Detailed with steez,
Classic in taste, elegant in style
A design by The Architect.

In the eighth month,
Infinity ?? stands
Not just to mark the month,
But to align with the day:
8/8 - Eight, Zero, Eight.

The hands of the Maker
Reflect His image
On the mold He shaped with passion.
Not merely a symbol,
But a living entity of grace.

He grew to become
Not just a human with intellect,
But a man of divine purpose.

And today marks another day
To remember the investment of trust,
The abundance of grace and mercy,
And the preservation of the soul.

I'm here to say,
Thank You
For all You've done
And all You're about to do.
Without You, I am nothing...
Help me, O Lord...
For Your love is better than wine.

Premium MemberAn Invisible Rose for Your Birthday

Yesterday was your birthday
Unfortunately, that was a busy day
However, I went to the garden
Of my heart this beautiful morning
Where I picked an invisible rose that could bring:
Happiness, joy, good humor and an early spring.

I shaved my beard and mustache to make your day
With all my heart, I wish you a happy birthday
Oh! I would like to charm you until nightfall
When the rainbow is no more in the fall
Toward another horizon, for another season
Please accept this rose, this poem, this song.

P.S. This poem is dedicated to my good friend.

March Comes In Like A Lion

March Comes In Like A Lion

Dandelion dance
in the palm of my
hand; a gentle
bloom.

I love
my birthday
flower.

Monocrostic (Birthday of Thea Mari S. Alcantara)

Motherly Aunt

A mother
A carer
An aunt she might be
A growing bond like a best friend is what she is to me

A warm and comforting heart of love and care
A strong personality that would take on a dare
Reflects as inspiration in her glare

Footprints I will follow as it guides me a far
Shadow I want to live in as unique and bright like a star

I might not be there physically today
Celebration of my two favourite people's birthdays -
HOORAY!
Wishing you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
