Premium Member- Dusty Box of Memories -

    My dusty box of memories
    can be compared to
            Aladdins wonderful lamp
    Yellow brass with a shiny
    and elegant appearance
    Everyone has a genie
    that resides in the subconscious

    When the lid is opened
it smells of jasmine and rose petals
    feminine and unique
    Feeds my heart with
                    the scent she loved

It did not belong to a royal person
    but my dear mother
She was a woman who spent time
    finding the right outfit
    with different bijouterie
A wide range of jewelry, bracelets,
    earrings, necklaces and rings

As an aged photo album -
                I let the jewelry
run through my fingers as a rosary
    Dear memories flow

Blue Mountain

Blue mountain

drenched with mist
a cascade of water falling from a height
caverns are gems
'The Abode of Clouds'
A wench draped in hoary saree
All wetted and portraits like
A forest stream
Curved and silhouette
Calmed in her mayhem
Years passed by
But was struck by her beauty
She wore the bijouterie
Called nath
The blue mountain is the deepest hue of her nath
Was her only possess

From the Cycle Once

Firefly,
if I believe once
that all your beauty
is a charm of the gloom
reigning around you,
what would I do, then?

*
The house that I had once
under a table, was larger,
and warmer, and cosier;
And I could travel,
with that wooden horse,
much faster,
much safer.

*
The brilliance of a big light
is often not so dazzling
as then, in the pitch darkness,
when one’s eyes open.

*
Among all bad times
the worst is mine.
But I do love it
because I know:
We met this single time.
And also I know
that once I’ll miss it, oh, so dearly!

*
It was as easy, for my granny,
to pick wild white roses
as stars among the thorns of night.
However, once
she scratched her hand on Death and, after that,
she left her old bijouterie to me:
A dry bunch of violets put in a book,
and a white collar
knitted by herself.

*
Once I beseeched one saint
to help me in the trouble,
and he did.
I thought: O Lord,
how pitiful I am
if he himself had already
perceived all.

Stuyvesantowne

Across the River, West 'tis that
at the cliffs & clefts of Victoria above
blackish waters slick as Legislation, of Verrazzano
& not-so-merried ferries, the promontory sits of
visage, resplendented of red deer & red bear &
white Eagles' scat from Lady Liberty!

Why, in the glare of where, opossum
& red squirrel, vied in-passioned
imposters of small virtue in deed
sought, wrought of purloin
for some vertu & bijouterie
for Manhattan!
(The Chief Islander) - so the Mythic goes!

But hey!, it's up-on the BigScreen, now
playin' @ The Bijou, & in the dutri-plexes
& plexes of plexiglasse &
MegaPlexes of Tribeca, in the Tri-boros+2...

Avaunt! Above Verrazzano visage
tramontane, there! the Filth & Flair
of City fare, miasma which got us into
insouciant Dutch!
