Night Bewitches -

Night bewitches with its cosmic charm
Like choco coffee, sweet and warm
The moon and stars in gleaming glow
Give the somber souls a flow

Like a fairy with magic wand
It casts its spell throughout the land
That even hearts that shunned the skies
Find the new courage to rise

For, night is time for love to show
A time for those sweet saps to grow
A time for those old flames to spark
To lay their love and make a mark

For, even if night is pitch dark
It gives the heavy hearts a lark
A time for fun, a time for love
A time to wish on stars above

Night bewitches; romance can reign
when shadows fall and you then see
the light of day begin to wane.
Alone with your love you can be.

Stars flicker and in glow of moon,
night bewitches; romance can reign.
Many hearts in the darkness swoon
when passion overrules the brain.

Nocturnal creatures entertain
with nature’s sounds as sun goes down.
Night bewitches; romance can reign.
In love’s allure it’s sweet to drown.

At eventide, it’s time to live!
To your darling on lover’s lane
caresses and sweet kisses give.
Night bewitches; romance can reign.

Night Bewitches

Deserted alleys shrouded in dark,
Flickering lamps and a landscape stark.
Where should he go in such a night?
When there's not a star to guide him light.
The wind bewails and mourns again,
Walked as He, through the empty lane.
His soul revealed bare as the night undressed,
All dreadful memories came out pressed.
Smothering, he rushed in vain
Wait, the shadows said I'll come again
To haunt you every single night
When there's not a soul in sight.
He promised to be the boy's companion,
Ending all claims
As to the falsity of a forever!

Green dreams
Haunting eyes
Teal thoughts terrified

Night Bewitches

NIGHT BEWITCHES

Night offers that welcome darkness
With only the pale moon to observe
When undefined things will emerge
And those rare emotions can surge
Strangest sounds that touch a nerve
And images, proud of their starkness

The witching hour will come at night
Feeling cold running down your spine
The chill wind blows like a soft moan
Now sure that you’re no longer alone
You know something crossed that line
Whispers dance in the air, out of sight

The shadows are barely sure they exist
Moonlight casting weird shades of grey
The dark cloudless sky feels undressed
Things scuttling around, as if possessed
All scurrying to avoid the dawning day
An enchantment opportunity, missed

The Night beguiles and bewitches me
as shadow deepen and lengthen
The moon shyly peeps out at me
then bursts out in splendid stateliness.

Now clouds drift across its beaming face
causing shadows to change their shape
I see first a unicorn dancing in the night
Followed by a trio of old haggard witches.

The night sure belong to unworldly things
goblins, elves, pixies hobnob in its darkness
and shadows leap and dance in moonlight
rays of gold, silver and blood deep reds.

Soon. too soon the night will give way
and all the secrets hidden by darkness
will slip away and leave me wondering
were they ever displayed in the darkness?
