Best Yester Poems
I Ran Into Yester-YearsI ran into the yester-years
and found the father of fears
lingering in the lore of lies
sold to our simple skies.
I turned back to face the future
peeping at its pleasant picture;
Inscribed on an immortal image
…The symbol of a sincere sage
I looked around to toast today
Wooing its wealth all the way;
Now I know, I’ll never neglect
My past, present...

YesterYester year grievous
brought events mischevious,
fulfilling fate malicious:
my worst fears,
my nightmares vicious;
I was oblivious
to how cruel life can be.
I suffered
soul turned cold,
heart in flames,
my existence- all in vain.
I withstood
all that came
and still waited:
come what may.
My heart burned,
my soul froze
my ego died.
I awoke
coming to life:
damaged,
yet emotionally indestructible.
No pain is painful nowadays,
no trouble would bother me,
no emotion may...

Yester-Me 2k12Certainly I'll reminisce thereof the past,
Tho' shall not dwell therein it evermore.
For when I've inhaled and exhaled life's last,
Perhaps therein memory's realm I'll yet soar....

Yester-DreamsI found a photo the other day,
Deep in a desk - so tucked away,
A summer meadow full of cars,
Vital youths with eyes of stars,
'Midst revelry...

Wedding Gifts of Yester YearIn the olden days, when we were in covered wagons
And stoking the fire before the kids arrived on horseback
the bride-to-be did not ask for specific wedding gifts
You bought people what you liked, hoping they would like it too.
I loved a pink and white bowl set; it was gorgeous!
So I bought if for my pal Sherry...

Yester-Yearah yes the dreams of yester-year,
when life was young and sweet,
the age demon shifts a gear,
as homeward bound we creep,
doth sneer:)

Yester Dazewhen young I rarely played alone
many friends visited my home
among the many in my company
were heroes, cowboys. and fantasy
video games and an old arcade
I seldom went but often played
games of chance that tested me
my aim, skill, and tenacity
I traveled to space riding a cardboard box
took an imagination minus locks
kept butterflies for a little while
with...

Yester Dreams Lost Love-Dreams of Dreams;
Yester dreams;
I forgotten days;
Of forgotten woes;
I forgot not always right;
My apology is true;
Cuz, darling I still love you;
Yester dreams lost love
To make tips;
To justify a Doctrine;
Forever darling I'm your friend;
I'm expressing a regret;
Let's not forget;
Fault insults and inferior substitute;
As for your love, lost love...
Yester dreams lost...

On a Lustful June 'Yester-Night'June night…
Gibbous moonlight…
My inner pearl shining bright;
Dwarfed under reflection,
Yet un-shadowed—beaming…
Waiting her coming resurrection
Above the lunar mirrored gleaming.
Passing strange is her journey…
A June timed sojourn to destiny,
Teasing the moon’s cosmic majesty;
Tonight, we conquer the abyss between us:
Space, stars, satellites, or any other celestial stuff;
Nothing can keep me from the pearly glow of Venus....

Yesterday Yester,DaYesterday, you were here beside me
I woke to our bodies tangled in the sheets
we spent a day making plans and drinking tea
mapping out our future day by day, week by week,
Yesterday, you were here beside me
I watched as you smiled when I burnt the toast
we spent the day believing we had tomorrow
that we had so...
