Yesterday Yester,Da

Yesterday, you were here beside me
I woke to our bodies tangled in the sheets
we spent a day making plans and drinking tea
mapping out our future day by day, week by week,
Yesterday, you were here beside me
I watched as you smiled when I burnt the toast
we spent the day believing we had tomorrow
that we had so much time to fill with pleasures
Today, I woke and you were gone
the space in our bed empty and cold
I spend the day drinking tea, crying and hurting
Today, I am alone fearing the coming darkness
the emptiness, the void your absence leaves
all those plans sit on the shelf -mocking me.

Yesterday, I was happy.

You could be happy again and these moments of grief would bring the smiles of tomorrow. Powerful verses my dearest, Julie! Hugsxxx
