Her fervent eyes,

Irresistible whirlpools of passion,

Invited me dare plunge into their thrilling

Waters of pleasure

Where

My enamored heart, would be enchanted

By

The delightful currents of awaiting love!

Whirlpools

WHIRLPOOLS

You were born
Into broad daylight
Tears of joy and fragrance,
Of tender love-
Flowing to my veins, your soft skin
Anointing a life time fulfilment.
You swam on all fours
Lisping in my lap.
A bout of fever, you lay still
Shuddered as my hot tears fell on you
I sat by your side, days and nights
Serenades and holy oils and fastings.
In new pinafore and jacket
We went to school
Your cries-
Kind nun put you on my chest.
You grew up, your mother
Shedding her love from heaven-
Often you pushed me to a corner
When I plucked you from thorny shrubs.
Unfriendly magnetic field,
At the expense of peace.
You taught me new lessons
Came home with a boy friend
Painfully I saw you moving away
Your way unknown to me,
Smiled like a clown devouring
Fire balls.
Know not the current pulling you
Clatter of cut glass on porch
Mole hills stood up between us.
Late arrivals, combined studies
End up in separate compartments.
Time fled, laying myself down
I read your mind
Not the creepy chillness of old age home
Take me to the other strata of Time
Set a pyre, let the goat caught in shrubs be free
Tie me, sacrificial prey, up
With tenderness in heart, for old times sake
Put knife on me, oozing blood
Dries in pyre, orange flames
Cross the phase of Time
Get back to the abode of peace
Grass lands, full of life
Full of colour.

WHIRLPOOLS OF THE MIND
Cycles of life..churn..revolve,dissolve..
resurface..mix in restless sleep.
Deep from the chasms of the
unconscious, the froths of
yesterday's concerns as flotsam
become a jetsam dream..to
scatter up on the beach of
our tomorrow..as hazy recollections.
Forlorn..half-remembered..such
detritus of our persona slowly erodes
shrinking in the light of day.
Put into proportion such giants become
dwarf like..distant litter on our
horizon..to fade away forever upon
the tide of each new dawn's..reality.

You may hear me recite this and most of my PS endeavours on youtube under my pen name ichthyschiro

Whirlpools

Happy times we will always
remember.
But it's the tragedies that really thrive in our heads,
that feed on our pain, our guilt, until we
surrender.
The hurt, the remorse that all of us have felt,
suck us under like the whirlpools that are our
feelings.
That stop us from seeing the light,
that stop us from growing and stop us from
healing.
We all give up, we think we don't need to
fight.
When all that is doing
is stopping us from continuing on
the confusing path that is
life.

phantasmagorical
is love's colorful view
in the kaleidoscope
spun to paint scenes anew
in rose-tinted glasses
with love shining right through
