Best Weiss Poems
I know the pain that love can bring
How hurtful words can bite and sting
When lies are told, love will take wings
That real love doesn't come with strings
Love, liken to a pendulum swing
Taking it all not giving a thing
Once I listened to my heart sing
When I thought love was everything.
What happens is, that we don't see
Sometimes love's not meant to be
Perhaps there should be a decree,
The lock for love has lost it's key
I found that love was not for me
It brings with it too much debris
Though some will say that love is free
I'd have to say, I disagree.

My mirror tells the brutal truth,
a woeful tale of vanished youth
Where one eye squints and one eye shines
and broken dreams are long dark lines.
Emotionless and coldly callous
Honesty without spite or malice
Shamelessly silent yet telling all
Reflecting the writing on the wall.
An image appearing all too clear
Becomes too telling, too austere
Once colorful hues seen on display
Have now faded into a dismal gray
To know and see what is real and true
But then to sadly regret the view.
Telling myself it doesn't matter
Yet knowing, one is bound to shatter.

There was a lady with old birthday blues
Another year passed, with gray hues
So she ran out on the beach
seeking a starfish to reach
ending up on a cruise in the news!

The lady with birthday blues
who went off on the passing cruise
She fell off the boat
much too old to float
lost at sea, making the news!

Suddenly there was chaos at the sea
from loss of poems when the muse chose to flee
The birthday lady is a poet
Many people know it
So, the cruise turned around quickly!

The old lady tried to write
a great poem that was just right
But, muse was not there
with talent to share
So, she disappeared from sight!

All of a sudden there was a kaboom!
A tidal wave flooded her cruise bedroom
Poems flew all over the place
She surfaced with muse in place
Birthday wishes granted, no more gloom!

Ich weiss schon, was du meinst
I do know what you mean!
Trust me my dearest love—I do!
Whether I say this in German or in English,
my thought and intention with this are the same!
Since we first met years ago the love, fire, and
passion in my heart and soul for you have never
ceased or abated—and they shall never do so!
And the compelling force and the palpable feeling
created by the alchemic nature of our relationship,
shall be with us always in this world my dearest love.
I say this even until it’s time for us to shake off this
mortal coil of ours!
Yet, I say even beyond this mortal plane, the love and the
feeling we share shall find their rightful place at the center
of our respective souls, as we gain our entrance into God’s
Kingdom in all of His Divine light, love, glory, and eternal
harmony!
Worse it could be though, but I dare not ever think of this,
for I believe in the depth of our love, the strength of our
sacred convictions, and the power of our emotions—all
of which shall stand the ultimate test of time and the surety
of our commitment!
And so my love, I say be not ever afraid—for I shall be
with you in your moments of joy, happiness, sadness, fear,
rejection, illness, and celebration. That’s the joyous bond
we both eternally share in God’s very eyes!
Life can be great, it can be glorious, it can be challenging;
and it can be unfair, and it can be wicked for sure—given
the unfortunate ways and foibles of human nature!
Even with all of this said and done—this shall never, ever
alter the love, fire, and passion I have for you in my heart
and possess in my soul my dearest love!
And so my dearest love . . .
I do know what you mean!
Ich weiss schon, was du meinst!

Spend Some Time With Me
Feeling a bit lonely
Maybe feeling a bit blue
This is what I ask of you
What I need and it's free
Would you spend some time with me?
So much time spent alone
I'm always on my own
So if you have some time to spare
Nothing special just thoughts to share
Chorus:
It would make a difference
If you would be
Willing to spend
A little time with me
I'm not asking
For very much
Just to talk a while
I may have forgotten how to smile
I think a smile
It could happen again
If I can call on you
To be a friend
Would you spend some time with me?
I used to have much more
I could believe, felt secure
Things change, I ran away to hide
No-one remained by my side
Chorus:
It would make a difference
If you would be
Willing to spend
A little time with me
I'm not asking
For very much
Just to talk a while
I may have forgotten how to smile
Ending...
So you see, if you would only be
The person to spend time with me
Would you spend some time with me?
Repeat...Would you spend some time with me?

OFFERINGS
As we enjoy the gifts of this abundant season
Let us search within ourselves for the reason
To give, to reach out, being generous of heart and mind
To be thankful graciously, appreciative of all we find
Because with gratitude for all new things to share
Comes happiness in a growing heart to love and care
By embracing what we find in all the changing weather
With generosity, peace lifts us as light as a feather
As the festive winter comes upon us, with its glory in sight
Let us celebrate together, each special morning and night
May we gather all offerings, those held dear,
To share with those we love, whether far or near
