Premium Member Flowers For Guns

There may come a day
When decisions are made
When war in theatres
Will stop being played

The worlds matinees
Will show a different scene
As we all sit and watch
The return from being mean

No more enlisting
No more conscription
We all live our lives
In peaceful prescription

Our lives move on
With natural progression
As we close our eyes
To natural submission

There may come a day
When we have actually begun
To grow as a race
And have flowers for guns

Its Not My Imagination, I Just Dare To Write Real Life

hide the truth, all you want
but the truth is out there

tell as many lies as you want
but there are eyes, who see the truth

and may i say this
my poems are of the true
not my imagination...

there are bad men (all ages and sexes)
out there and when you
do not wonder what the real truth is
they do things right in front of your eyes
and you may not believe what you have just seen
but it did happen
just believe in yourself
because they are many
and some do read Poetry...

I may be crazy but its not my imagination
that i fear...

Its the real world where i ask myself
why have the News if no one will understand
when they see a real life victim...
writing, right in front of them...

Can You Not See Me

Can you not see me
I am right here
Do you not hear that
It's something to fear

I am so scared
Yet I am so brave
Still you cant see me
but I am right here

I heard you traveled
to go morn a rock star
I did not hear you leave
to go morn my dear friend

Still you cant see me
Yet I am still right here
Do you know who I am
or do you even care

I may not be a singer
or even a actress
You may not even know me
but you hear what goes on here

I see now you may not even care
You still cant see me
Yet I am still right here

You have your freedom
and that's why I am here
I am fighting for you
because that's how much I care

To My Dear Cousin who is being sent to Iraq next month.. I can see you and I do care!
Please be careful and thank you for all that you are doing and to all the others who are
fighting for us to keep us safe and our freedom. I Love you Jason!!!

The price we pay
For these countries of ours
Battlefield loss
Coffined towers

Daughters and sons
Gunned down
Patriotic souls
Perish, under Nature's sun

Terrorist war, i cant understand
To fight each other, my thoughts bland
Muslim, Sunni or Shiite Bro's
Severe grudge, Suicide blows

No faith, can comprehend
The sender of this degenerate send
Martyr's picked, soon forgotten
As the world denounces, faiths so rotten

West Bank, Basra, Baghdad too
Exhibits in this modern Zoo
Kill your neighbour, slay a friend
On the news, images send

Close to home these cowards strike
Maim and kill, their consience wiped
Off to where they are supposed to go
Forever land, where nothing flows

If faith exists on this magic land
Would what you see, be in its plan
To do what we do, and think it's best
All faiths would be, under arrest

If we are all under the one
So many wrongs have humans brung
For this Highlander to understand
Who is indeed, in charge of this land

Before you answer, please observe
To actually who, do humans serve
So many idols, are they human made
Whose do we walk, on earths esplanade

The answer is there for all to know
Open minds, allow the flow
It may not be, what you think it's been
It may be around you, everyday seen

Nature, nature in your might
Observe this planet, in your sight
Render wrongs, display whats true
Remind your tribes, what they should do

Way back then, explosion new
The cycle of me and you
If we don't understand what we are here for

Poisoned Rationality

enemies among friends
violence never ends
find a familar enemy far away to blame together
for the reasons we have become destitute this way

whole societies blamed for the actions of one
paranoias manipulated
this is not rational thinking

mind cornered with logic to think one of a few things
its too logical to be insanity
too sane to be blasphemy
and to blasphemous to be true

ways of the land
and cultures blamed
they get along great over here

what of their diet
quality of air or soil
poisoned rationality coming from somewhere

another act for man
testing waters of war torn countries
so we can all breath a fresher breath of air

Peacekeeping can be messy
and as painful as it is to repeat myself
i may just find a way to rip your heart out
for it may happen to you in turn as the ways we tend to poison ourselves
poison rationality or not
i just ask you to please pace yourself

mindful of logical consequences cornering the mind this way
blasphemous truths becoming reality
needing an unreachable enemy
for survival until the savior truthfuly soothesays

Welcome Home

As children with dreams of fighting for a cause,
to be a part of a greater good
they enter into the armed forces.
Unknowing of the sources of real battle scars,
they eagerly serve with pride, honor and heart.
Many may never see action, but the sounds
and possibly the afflicted that they see
leave a permanent mark, inerasable
in the hallows of their minds and hearts.
For those that do return, unaffected physically,
think not that they can acclimate easily,
for their scars have more depth,
more discerning qualities, that left untreated
may fester into a soldiers self demise.
Look not past their eyes and salute.
Salute them and look into their eyes
allowing them the knowledge
that we welcome them home with pride
and more importantly, with care.
For a soldier may be strong and tested,
but the heart of a victim may be fragile.
