Best Venting Poems

Venting

I do not recognise my own face.
I have stared at this mirror too long.
Features blurred beyond understanding:
My eyes, nose and mouth seem to be wrong.

Eyes
filled with uncertainty;
glazed with world-weary despair;
no longer conscious of suffering;
unwilling and unable to care.

Nose
wrinkled in self-disgust;
helpless against the world’s stink;
ignorant of all the sweet smells;
oh whatever would my Grandma think.

Mouth
no longer expressive;
sneering even to my Mum;
filled with universal distaste;
twisted by logic which has gone numb.

Mind
battle of good and evil;
just playing out in my head;
withdrawing from reality;
wishing for religion to be dead.

My intention is not to ridicule,
For platitudes so easily sent.
Empty ideology and rhetoric
Means I feel compelled to vent.

I am unappreciated by you and you show no remorse
Of couse not you do no wrong
                        You God damned Sociopathic jacka$$
Your the only one who damn well matters
arent ya ,you pig headed imbusal
Im gonna rip your heart out
oh wait... you dont have one
                                    So guess that doesnt work
Why dont you just go play in traffic,
like some common retard would do
but I guess you fit to well into that catagory
                         you simple minded fool

The sun has shifted, it's now on my screen
Must close the curtains, who could have foreseen
But whatever sol wants
I'll join in his dance
'Cause sun makes me happy, without venting my spleen

The day is ended but my mind is still bending
replaying the twist and turns
that are the navigations of my day.

Second guessing and venting,
wishing I could've made a move
or remembering what I could have said:
or maybe if I had of jacked her up

I wouldn't be spewing and mad
beating this pillow down
letting these petty frustrations
grit in my grind when the day
should be done with me sleeping

And dreaming about the babies down the hall
and the man at my side
whose snores should sounds
of love if I hadn't of came home

still grinding, replaying,venting off
noxious fumes of wrath,
each move keeping my mood in crap
instead letting this home
recreate my day,
make a house of love
with me snoring.

Why am I not allowed to vent my frustration, anger and annoyance at your incompetence?
Remain poised, you say.
Calm down, you say.
Don't be so passionate, you say.
Why can't I expose and tell you exactly how I feel about your irritating, petty ways?
How much you trivialize things that are serious!
How much you take for granted opportunities that the underprivileged among us would die for!
How frustrating it is to know that if it was a different time or place I could be somewhere else, doing something else but I choose to teach you, however, ungrateful you are!

Skies above vent pent up emotions -
ripe anger cracks stormy patterns
in vivid, threatening feels.

Skies above vent pent up emotions.
Though I feel severe sky warnings,
I am sight caught and fast locked.

Skies above vent pent up emotions -
Ripe anger cracks stormy patterns.

The stars are not so far.
You may pluck them
like berries, and pop them in your mouth
and they will twinkle on your tongue,
or you can put them in your pockets like candies,
or carry them home in a handkerchief.
Remember to roll up your slacks
as you stand in the river of wind,
your bare feet clutching the grass as you reach.

Night makes you taller than the street lamps
as you stroll farther and farther from bed,
your head about to bump the moon.
The Earth does not feel your weight
as it spins through the darkness
unable to reach the end,
just spinning
and spinning through darkness,
meteors flying past it like warning shots
as meteorites penetrate its airy flesh.
And it spins as fast as it can
trying to stay out of the way
but unable to escape,
blue and beautiful,
a jewel the rocks will never celebrate
as they collide in space in "hoorays" of dust and
silent booms.
Blue jewels are not gems in space
they are freaks,
forever squirreling around the sun,
as the galaxy goes on,
twinkles on,
spiraling down the cosmic drain
of a
big
black
hole ---

I once was young
And now I'm not.
That knowledge gets
To me a lot.

My hair is thin,
My skin is lined
And if you ask,
Of course I mind!

My knee hurts when
I walk the stairs.
Complaining's useless -
No one cares.

Forgive my mood -
It's evident
That there are times
One needs to vent.

Late at night i sit
on the edge of my bed
my ears stopped up with medical rubber
pressing the diaphragm of the stethescope against
my chest. Listening
for a sign.

Just Venting

As heart felt feelings build, I still have that numbing pain that tears at me constantly. Thoughts touch my mind and time after time I’ve tried to dream of something better something that could build me up more than just tearing me down when I look into the eyes of others that doesn’t share my understanding. What are they looking for? What is it that they want from me? To push maybe just to see how far I’m willing to just let go. That’s not me; I’m not bottled up like a lost letter that’s been floating on top of the ocean, to be passed by like lost trash. I’m more, from the core of my soul and the bottom of my heart. I’m me, no matter who you thought I was or who your wanting me to be. I am that built up oppression that’s been left alone for years. I am that explosion that can’t be controlled. I’ve been left alone and let down for reason I still don’t understand today, but I’m here. I’ve cried for them, feelings topping the atmosphere like smog. Just isn’t natural, I’m feeling differently about things, their mixed up emotions. They cry then laugh at the same time.
I’m not demanding anything from anyone. Love, compassion, or the simple material things that seem to control banishing conflict of others.
I’m not that angry kid that once hated the world. I’ve changed but still lack the perfection that I feel I’m missing. What is perfection?
I’m a silent private soul that that speaks out loud through my poetry no one will ever be able to judge me. No one.
Feel what you feel, walk away if you have to without looking back because when you do its right there. The reality, the truth about yourself you can never hide. No matter how deep inside you try to push them down. Its like trapped air or that painful gas, it does come to the top.

4am Venting

I'm not supposed to be like this.
Misfitted, twisted, confused, self conscience, and unoptimistic.
I'm still trying to put in to words what it is that made me like this.
Who it is that paved this.
You know you carved the rocks to the road that I'm supposed to walk down.
The only thing is you only paved it half way.
I thought men could finish things like this.
You only paved it half way.
I thought parents loved you unconditionally.
You only paved it half way.
I thought daugters were supposed to be daddys little girls.
You only paved it half way.
You don't even know how amazing I am but still think you deserve the credit.
You only paved it half way.
Who do I owe my success to?
You only paved it half way.
You're the reason I can't trust dudes.
You only paved it half way.
You're the reason sometimes late at night I stop being too pretty to cry.
You only paved it half way.
I'm venting now, hoping for a better day.
You see I'm not as screwed up as I should be.
Get pissed, flip stuff, dip quick, and light piff.
Get sick, spazz fit, sniff this, and sip stuff.
This only makes sense to me.
You're starting to become my enemy.
I said I couldn't find the words at the begining of this.
I think I found a few.
Shed a few tears and throw on a smile or two.
I just let the world see how volunerable I can be, atleast for an hour or a few.
I don't know when I'll tell you this to your face but it's long over do.
Got me up 4am cyber venting to you.

Blades grate
chunks of cabbage
scattered on the counter like pallid moss.

Choose
a duck,
its flesh dry and red,
and seasoned,
its broken neck
rigid in the stainless noose.
It looks
so good
in the window,
even better in broth,
on my spoon,
tender
and ready to chew.

I got a hair pin trigger
Got a holster on my hip
Put a nickel on my needle
So my record don't skip

My attitude is ugly
There's no beauty in my beast
My attention span is faulty
And my anger has increased

I got a nasty disposition
Got a thirst I cannot quench
It smells like broken spirit
I can hardly stand the stench

I got a sudden disconnection
Lug the load that's on my mind
I am NOT your great sensation
I'm the son that never shined

Venting Machine

I had an opportunity to see you
I feel excited
yes
But it seems as if I am staring at a mirror broken to pieces
thoughts elevated the height of films
Taken at a time of despair
I tried to open up and tell the truth not to hold anything in
I did
I tried
Do I smile frown or give up
No I am going to stand
see what happens
I am going to let go of all this madness
This tension trying to tear me apart
I can not rely on feelings right now
I have to rely on time truth and evidence
I am whole letter better!

Venting Sticks and Stones

If venting and throwing sicks
and stones is the only thing

That turns you on and what you
can get your kicks from

And you accept or haven't come
to the realisation or conclusion

You think you may indeed need
help the plobem lies in you not
them

Then thinking i spending time
with you to gather up the biggest
sticks and stone's to cast at me

Through though pious of heart
it will not defend or shield against
the harm you wish to cause and
impart upon me

Because as a happy person wishes
only to help and make an unhappy
person feel much like themself

So to does an unhappy person wish
a happy person feel unappy as
they are

Same theory in essence just miles apart whence it comes to there
own individual different versions
of what joy means to them

The good innocently only wish
to help those unfortunate less
well off and are blind to understand

Why they would ever be open up
to be taken advantage of by those
they are only trying to help

It's crass to say but when someone
you are trying to help reverts to type

And the inevitable eventually
happens just remember

It's never personal though it
may appear to you where as
those you are trying to help

Unfortunately most see you as nothing
more than your generosity a safe
sort target to prey upon and exploit

Barred and estranged from every
friend and crossing family
doorstep and entering the last
saloon in town

Until every outreach and
cry for help was given up
on and lost

And relationship damaged
irrevocably

Just remember though bones
may heal by themselves

Words leave deep emotional scars
that though we may choose to
put to one's side and hide

Can be brought up at a seconds
notice and bring the past back
into the present

Should bear the warning although
naturally and altruistic helping other's
out may seem

Charity begins and starts at home
and they alone can rebuild the
bridge they burnt down
and so to it's up to them

Should they wish to repair it
in order to find their way back
home
