I look at the same joyful face,
At the same old table, same time, same place.
The date returns— I feel that fear,
She’ll speak again. She’s always near.
The clock, it ticks like ghostly chimes,
Reminding me of borrowed times.
“She reassured me with an unfamiliar line”
She’s said it now at least a hundred times.
For six long centuries she’s stayed the same,
While I grow old and lose my name.
Her eyes still shimmer, her smile still glows,
While I bend low where sorrow grows.
This time I dared to ask her “why”,
And if she came down from the sky.
She shook her head with sorrowed grace,
And she whispered as she touched my face:
“You are the one who cannot wake
From dreams your soul refused to break.”
She kissed my cheek— I felt no heat.
My heart forgot its normal beat.
I tried to leave, to stand, to flee,
But walls of mist encircled me.
The table stayed, the chairs did too,
The sky outside had lost its blue.
She floated near, moon-cold and pale.
With eyes like clouds and breath like hail.
“She reassured me with an unfamiliar line”
But now… I think I knew that sign.
For though her words once brought me dread,
They now feel soft inside my head.
And maybe time had closed the door—
The line she spoke was strange no more.
What once had echoed like a plea,
Now felt like a part of what made me.
Perhaps this dream was never mine.
But still, I knew that final line.
unfamiliar bird
perched on a wooden fence post -
computer turned on
Having wandered all the wrong places
Where love and life don't feel at ease,
He was muzzled by his own solitude
Finding comfort in lonesome universe.
It took a while, but soon he realized
When pointing to a star in distant sky
Beauty of the cosmic hues multiplies
Huddled together with lover's eyes.
Verbalizing feelings he then surmised
Seeing a lone bird on a gracious ride,
So much more fun it would be to see
A flock of birds in synchronous glide.
He still doesn't know how to recognize
Signs that foretell a budding sunrise
Mired instead in darkness of night
Content to not see beyond the fog.
Tugged by prodding of visions ahead
Unfamiliar still how friends are made
Harboring heartbreak as love awakes,
Foolishly he enables fervor to escape.

Will you teach me
how to fly a helicopter ?
I know I'm afraid of heights
but I've been in that much
unfamiliar airspace recently
that one more wont matter.

These walls are thin they are caving in have no where to go no where to run. But yet I keep this head held high nothing ever feels right anymore. When will you turn your bad dues into good when will the dark become light ? So Unsure of where I'am trapped in this small place can't get my mind right. Like i'm lost at sea, This place makes no since so dark and cold far from the place I called home. You , you use to have an effect on me made me smile , made me feel safe and all my fears disapeared. Now i'm trapped lost and scared don't know what this place could be feels so far from what you use to be. My eyes unvailed as I see this a black hole where your heart use to be
Stuck in old feelings silly of me

It's that time in life,
time to take a journey of faith
Hit the road and go
to a new unfamiliar place
Somewhere where nobody knows me,
but at the same time,
I'm going to the place I need to be
Was told I need to get out of my comfort zone
Being out on your own all alone
will make a person very uncomfortable
Everywhere you go,
you're meeting a new someone
you don't know
Unfamiliar faces ...
residue of the past still leave traces
Footprints of your soul,
being led by the Spirit
Going anywhere it tells you to go
Strange new places
filled with unfamiliar faces
They become more familiar each day,
the longer you stay
Old familiar faces fade
the longer you are away
Those unfamiliar faces now become like an old friend,
always welcoming ... never asking where have you been
Veiled under a sheer red silk cloth,
She lay naked for a while.
An hour to dawn,
Breathing in the darkness,
She hopes to again be born.
Tasting
A sweet breeze,
Seeing
A million stars,
Still a void stays
Like there’s no end to the night.
Reveling in the carousel of placidness,
She lets her mind standstill.
The presence of the present,
A sudden click she feels.
Captured like a melody
in her mind the vagueness spread,
Like waves frozen in winter,
Her naked skin played.
A beguiling aura holds her heart,
A writhe for pleasure returns.
Lost in interpretation were the emotions,
The blaze deeply burns.
Unaware and confused,
She rather closes her eyes.
Letting the night swathe and usher her into another day,
She’ll wait for the song to pass
& the desires to settle,
The longing to hold,
And the heart to reel,
Back into a familiar place.
Unfamiliar hearts snarling ,tangling,
reeking of lust.
Unknown languages speaking,
Gaping wounds bleeding mistrusts.
Unfamiliar hearts scarred and competing
Shouts of mercy and grace,
Keep the muscles beating.
Words rifling out,
penetrating deep beyond flesh.
Bullets lodging into broken souls of doubt
Unfamiliar hearts uniting together with common pains
Familiar traumas relieving lives so strained.
Unfamiliar hearts discovering Gods familiar forgiveness
Repenting hearts rejoicing ,embracing,
Jesus blood they witness.
These walls are thin they are caving in have no where to go no where to run. But yet I keep this head held high nothing ever feels right anymore. When will you turn your bad dues into good when will the dark become light ? So Unsure of where I'am trapped in this small place can't get my mind right. Life is a route they say,
And I choose the rooted route,
For the root will hold the fruit,
And the shoot will ever be strong,
But somehow there is a question,
Where am heading to really?
I need to be directed and led,
For I am injected with neglect,
Dejected and never corrected,
Where are my mentors, I ask,
Hiding, misguiding or backsliding?
Will I manage the unfamiliar route?
I once was a pilgrim to haven,
Now sure I am a victim of ravens,
Torn and bleeding, nowhere to hide,
Exposed to unfamiliar dangers,
Imposed new and bad cultures,
Inhaling of dirty, uncouth mist.
I once used to shine as a skyline,
I would dine with the prominent,
To get advices and spices of life,
Now at the bottom line for sure,
And in a topsy-turvy state, oh no!
Will I manage the unfamiliar route?
I have decided, to go on my way,
I sure will attain the unattainable,
Make lifeless regardless of kindness,
And holding a gun and not for fun,
One two three,Boom!Boom!Boom!
Do or die! Not a movie but reality.
Will run to Fathers,Nuns and Pastors,
Not for repentance but vengeance,
Go to the neighbours and daughters,
Snatch their precious from them,
Oh boy!I have much condemnation,
With less and less determination.
I am loosing my way surely, boy!
The route is getting nasty and nastier,
My roots are getting weak and weaker,
My fruits will now get bitter and bitter,
Am labouring and toiling in vain really,
Digging, harvesting nothing in seasons.
Dear listeners, I have a question,
And a suggestion for your digestion,
Do you want me really to achieve,
Make strong my root,my fruit will enjoy,
My future don’t destroy, make it!
And I manage the unfamiliar route.
Words have meaning to impart,
When "she reassured me with an unfamiliar line"
I knew that soon our hearts would part
As words show the heart's incline
Sometimes you have to read between the lines
To discern what's being said
Then you'll see the sign
and the deceit you're being fed
As the sun begins to set
Memories flash across my mind
Her words do linger yet
With echoes of her unfamiliar line
Grandma, only you can make me feel all right.
Only you, when you hug me so tight.
Your smile makes the moon shine bright.
Only you can light the darkest night.
"She reassured me with an unfamiliar line"
That sweet, sweet Granddaughter of mine.
Now I am old and frail and insecure.
No longer the person I was before.
Her words '' I will adore you,
Til all the trees turn blue,
Until rain falls upward, back to the sky,
And we are together, you and I.''
Unfamiliar Freedom
To immerse oneself in
all our familiar comforts
does not set us free
To follow only what we think
we need and want
does not set us free
To believe with certainty
what is best for us and
strive for it
does not set you free
To appreciate just one familiar
comfort creates a passage
with unbound freedoms
To move past not knowing
what we need
we can be found
To believe that any trodden terrain
has purpose for what
we need holds merit
in freedom from
certainty

A Real Connection
Your thoughts are my beacon guiding me safely
through this journey to the wanting caverns of your mind.
You close your eyes and I fly home to guide
your thoughts to the safety of my mind.
I hear your angelic voice, calm
as I soar above the whistling
wind of a silent understanding.
The years which came and gone I was to face
With many days of waste without a care
The motionless time I cannot replace
Leaves a cloak with shredded holes I must wear
I chose to walk upon an uncleared path
With nothing there to guide along the way
To contemplate the years of aftermath
To understand the reasons that outweigh
I am content with choices that I've made
Through each traveled year of life, I found
In a century born I could not evade
My soul was trapped in unfamiliar ground
The world I found was far beyond my mind
I yearned for something there I could not find
