Best Trustful Poems
Half eaten hearts
pump on three surviving parts,
Loyalty, Lust, and Longing,
thump thump thump,
I was your secret crush
you were my finest rush,
put Poetry in my veins like victory ongoing,
placed your loneliness in a casket of flames,
our language so lustful, demolishing civilized chains,
touching so trustful that asking permission would be aweful,
team work more natural than rhythm to rhyme, a new breed of Angel,
clutching uncharted romance rough & rude we jump,
Strange how we sew, rip and stich the fabric of our worlds,
I can see your constellation in my dreams Luv,
a glimmer for every kiss you clamped on my confident lips,
I told you that my love can be the richest food on earth,
I understand now, that your love is stronger than diamonds,
I already miss you more than my heart can count,
my tears do not fall, suspended in the lock of a love saga,
Lets split the loot babe,
parchments & prizes of Love's plunder we'll divide fairly,
raise up anchors from Passion's Port,
slap and smother each other one more time,
blow on pearls together,
throwing them in this tempestuous sea for Luck,
breathing honest devotion in your ear,
whenever you need me I'll be there,
flag flying fast to you, cannons cursing for your care,
your final stare, the softest I've ever seen -

My little one, my fairy
Laughter twinkles in my ears
Making smiles out of my fears
Oh pretty one, my mirror
Oh little one, my mender
Light my way, my fairy
Emotions so clear in his face
So open, trustful, so in place
Oh small one, so slender
Oh lovely one, much svelter
Than I was, my fairy
But now I win, slip of a thing
Your high pitched voice while you sing
Oh, mellow one, so foreign
Oh, little one, unbroken
Go your way, my fairy
We’ll meet again on foreign ground
I will not stop until I’ve found
Oh, little one, I found you
Oh, little one, I found you.

Women are roses
Beware of thorns
With tactful maneuvers
Lest you get poisoned
Women are oars
They sail your boat, without roars
And, the calm waters
Conceal the abyssal horrors
Women are children
Give them big sweets
Hug them with heart beats
And show them trustful smiles
'Cause they sniff the wiles
Women are wireless spies
Aired through airborn flies
A mouth-to-ear news murmured
Faster than any transmitter
Woman are thieves
They steal your heart
They laugh when you grieve
And cry when you leave
Women are men
They do all they can
Go to war, hold a pen
But without men,
They never can
Women give all their heart
It seems they won't depart
Once real things are getting hard
They leave like never did start
But, We can't live without them
Life is duality, woman and man
Happiness and Sorrow
Let's share them life's joy and pain
Until we both, leave this Earth
To the Power '' Supreme ''

AFFAIR
You belong to her I belong to him
A stripping tragedy,
With tears, I was pushed into another man's arm
Ending physically, never mentally
After 5 years
My new man gave his love to another
On a trustful night
After baring his first child
The lights in me had to give
Putting up with my new mistake
After all, I used him, hiding all the tears.
with this man, I live so unhappily
My new life, I compare to a drunk
---without having to drink a beer.
This man of beauty by my side
A well-settled ride
I settled for a friend who broke my heart
I allow this foolish friend,
to do what he wants with my heart
Who cares love does not exist tonight
My friend, the enemy in my bed
You become my dream man, every time I close my eyes
Every night,
When I lay next to you
You become him, my long time loves affair
In my heart, mind and soul,
After 2 years,
Every time, he caresses every side of me
With a stroke of his hand, it becomes your hand
without a lie, I say the truth the man I have
becomes you when we make love in bed
To: my husband who is sitting across the room
I am telling him to play a song over and over.
he does not realize the song belongs to another
HA HA HA in your face. SKAT

I won't begin to list his jobs
because we’ve heard them all,
from confederate raider to stick
up man, he had a bad man’s gaul
His fame spread with noteriety
across the Yankee plain, but he was
just an outlaw man, he don’t deserve
no fame
But in them days, imagination ruled
the newsman’s pen, and outlaws were
the magic, that ruled the why and when
Some said he was a Robin Hood and
helped the wretched poor, there is no
record of this game, Cole Younger
new the score
While home one day in leafy fall
he moved a picture on the wall,
Bob Ford shot Jesse’s 45, trustful
friend did not survive
And for his efforts, Bob “the coward” got
a shotgun to the throat, cos folks were
getting downright tired, of the back-shooter’s
sickly tote.
And though we like the stirrin turns we think
a bandits life, give thought to poor Zerelda,
Jesse's sad dear wife
Lost in shame and washing clothes to make
a cent or two, she died in rotten poverty
as Jesse’s legend grew.
But Jesse was an icon, his” adventure” we still crave,
and in today’s confection, still we think him brave.
And now they’re lying side by side, in St Joseph’s
cemetary, and if you mused where they’re took,
their waiting Hades ferry.

Example for Limerick Contest
Ghosts that coast, embody their trustful host
Leave no posts, they possess the host to roast
These disembodied souls
Are angry deranged ghouls
Bode snatching demons, one’s life they engross.
Halloween’s treat where they accomplish feat
Children sweet, want only candy to eat
May we all watch our children
Having no bewildering
Safeguarding thus our Halloweens so neat!
Hello! I’m beautiful and very sweet
Please gimme your candy snickers to eat
I am an angel’s sibling
I only want a nibbling
I only want a sweet, not ghoul’s mistreat!!

Why do you tempt me with mischievous eyes
Playful and naughty; do they tell or dare?
Are you an angel, devil in disguise,
Should I be trustful, or should I beware?
Why do you tempt me with a winsome smile
Not all-revealing, but denoting more.
Chinks in my armour ... should I stay awhile?
Fatal attraction which I can’t ignore.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, stay awhile and find out what you will
My eyes reveal the pleasures that await
Take off that armor if you want this thrill
You know your hunger only I can sate
So take a risk, and bare to me your all
If angel or if demon, do you care?
Into my searing arms you’re meant to fall
Now take a step, move forward, if you dare!
Stadacona
An ode to Quebec City
1
On the green bank of a mighty stream -
A lofty aerie - a fair city beam
With stately air a queen, she stands -
A gem - over these most forest lands.
An old city (first in Canada)
Formerly humble Stadacona.
2
Hardy Champlain, of proud heritage -
Geographer and scion of Brouage -
Envisioned her rocky shore
And armed with dreams, he did explore
Her woody crest - a verdant forest -
Aloft there on her virgin breast.
3
Her sons were gallant progenity -
Seeds of Brittany; roots of Normady -
Of France. The served with honor,
With bravery and staunchless valor.
All faithful, all trustful habitants,
Artisans, voyageurs and peasants.
4
Her daughter came with chaste dignity
Brave heart and robust vitality;
The cradle to rock, the flax to spin,
The hearth to brighten, the wild to win.
Must dutiful, most fruitful maidens!
Lights of home! Makers of edens!
5
Stalwart pioneers - hence from a rampart
Aery they went to conquer and to chart
Untold regions, where but stealthy feet
E’er dared the wilderness to defeat.
Trail blazers - hence to give name
To the unknown - faith the untame.
6
Here a new world and a new nation
Was conceived - a dauntless bastion
Tempered with faith and loyally blue -
Which kept the pledge, centuries three.
O gentle city! “Guard well thy crown
Of charm; thy quaintness and they renown.”
Envoi:
Royal “flour de lis” no longer remain
O’er citadel proud, yon wide domain;
But memories sacred of past heroes, sleep
On bosom tender ever fresh ever deep.
Ballade
She is wild but romantic
She speaks nonsense
but she’s funny
She has a free soul,
But she falls in love too fast
Making a slave of herself.
She doesn’t speak out her mind
She usually keeps in silence,
Letting her thoughts be free.
She looks for that perfect blue prince
The one she heard in Spanish fairy tales.
She’s a child in a woman’s body.
She still has that naive look
She’s neither beautiful nor ugly,
She wonders what beauty really is.
She gives up before she tries.
And let things pass by.
Still she is a girl with dreams.
She sings with a marvelous tone,
her voice is like sugary melody.
And some have been enthralled
by her walking attitude.
She smiles hiding deep fears
But she knows she’s a strong soul.
She is confident and trustful
But she sometimes can be a hater.
She believes in people
but let down easily.
She is a special human being.
She can give more than she receives.
She is the girl in a bubble world.
A baby in a dream recognized by a smile
A kids playground at square inch
A pre-teen ac-knowledge with knowledge of what's to come
A teen wonders inside his circle most trustful desires
An adult to reach a full potential in a concrete world
An old man nor bitter nor exhausted of a beautiful existence and afterlife.......
WHEN I WAS LITTLE
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS
When I was little everyone was old or tall
An innocence that spiraled into free fall
Most everything then was black or white
Most everything then was wrong or right
I trusted anything that was dosed to me
I thought all ideas were given motive free
Then as I aged the white inched into to gray
The black wasn’t as inky like on the first day
Only natures action are faithfully true
Veracity depends on “ what’s in it for you”
The truth can be skewed to suit any end
Omissions make deceit easy to comprehend
The truth isn’t as clear as best I can recall
Depends on the author, is it factual at all ?
The truth can be hazardous to ones health
It gets in the way of accumulating wealth
Scams and shams should be an olympic sport
Like sworn testimony in many a court
Those guarantees that never will expire
Save the certificates for starting a fire
I am cynical, doubtful about any narration
Fidelity is now a figment of my imagination
It’s especially sad when the government lies
No regard for the impact on peoples lives
Those that are trustful keep close to you
Force all others to prove they are true
It’s easy to be honest, but easier to renege
What the hell happened on the road to big
Old me, I've been looking for you
for your naive thoughts, clean feelings, pure heart,
trustful words, sweet eyes,
and even for your immature comments.
Sometimes, hopes talk about you
and smiles remember your good friendship,
the one you used to be.
Old me, when did you get lost?
Where did you go?
I've lost count of the times I've seen you
You just disappear as vapor or fog.
Why did you decide to put your arms down
Who should I blame?
I know you are afraid to comeback,
Strength and trust you lack.
Old me, I'm calling your name,
awake from your sleep.
I saw your silhouette in the starlight...
on a steamy summer night.
Your beauty was magnetic...
it drew me to your enchantment.
Trustful I would not offend...
my mind raced for words to begin.
I saw the impish grin on your face..
my head was in the wrong place.
The words did not matter...
as we began our chatter.
Your scent was like a flower...
that I wanted to devour.
This led to capricious caring...
of thoughts that were so daring.
When morning glow ascended...
the dreamy desire ended...
With a final kiss we embraced...
the magic moment did forsake.
As I watched you leave...
Empty i will be.
It could never be the same…
I did not even know your name.
