I Saw Your Silhouette in the Starlight

I saw your silhouette in the starlight...

On a steamy summer night.

The allure of your beauty was magnetic...

As I slowly approached your enchantment.

Trustful I would not offend...

My thoughts raced for words to begin.

Then I saw the impish grin on your face...

I knew my head was in the wrong place.

The words did not matter...

As we began our chatter.

The scent of you was like a flower...

That I wanted to devour.

This led to a capricious caring...

Of thoughts that were so daring.

As the morning glow ascended.

The dreamy desire slowly ended...

A final luscious kiss, we embraced...

Quietly the magical moment did forsake...

As I watched you leave...

I was empty for what will never be.

It could never be the same…

I did not even know your name.
