I Saw Your Silhouette In the Starlight
I saw your silhouette in the starlight...
on a steamy summer night.
Hoping I would not offend...
my mind raced for words to begin.
Then I saw the impish grin on your face..
I knew my head was in the wrong place.
My words did not matter...
as we began our chatter.
Your beauty was so exotic..
Your eyes were so hypnotic..
Your scent was like a flower...
that I wanted to devour.
This led to intimate sharing...
of thoughts that were so daring.
When the morning sun ascended...
the dreamy state was ended...
With a final kiss we embraced...
Then the magic moment did forsake.
As I watched you leave...
Empty I will be.
It will never be the same…
I do not even know your name.
