Best Too Generous Poems
dear i will remember your friendship forever
and cherish the memories of days spent together
fighting fire with fire on trivial matters
i remember how much we loved to natter
friend the spell of loneliness was broken by you
for being my friend i owe you a great debt of gratitude
standing by me to fight back tears of frustration
making me strong by your care and adoration
you were too generous to remain blind to my faults
secretly you corrected them and publicly you exalt
now the time has come to bid you a final farewell
but in my heart you are etched and there you will always dwell.. :) :)

Let's look at this tale of Robin Hood,
He was far away, being way too good,
Rob the rich, give to the poor,
Maid Marian left open her door,
She was feeling way too generous,
Got it on with little John, no fuss,
Far away was Robin Hood,
Really, he was much too good,
Then in came Friar Tuck,
In with Maid Marian he snuck,
Then they both got it on,
With hyperactive Little John,
Yes, Maid Marian was benevolent,
They, indeed, knew what that meant,
Thus, this twisted tale of Robin Hood,
John, Tuck, and no Robin Hood the good!

I go to a restaurant owned by Wang Chung.
His specialty dish is shrimp egg foo young.
The food is the best in town without a doubt.
I usually go there when I want some takeout.
Wang is just too generous with the gravy.
It’s the most I’ve ever seen, and I don’t mean maybe!
Well, he didn’t put the lid on tight enough.
I had an experience that was plenty rough.
The lid opened and gravy was all over my shirt.
How do I get the stain out? It’s tougher than dirt.
Wang Chung sent me to his cousin who owns a laundry.
Wang told me that he was the one to see.
“My cousin can get your shirt whiter than white.
The first time only, he gets things right.”
I left the shirt at the laundry and departed in a spurt.
However, the ticket remained in the pocket of the shirt.
The next day, Wang’s cousin said this to me:
“So solly cholly! No tickee, no washee!”

Behind every successful man,
As the saying goes, there is a woman.
In my family, they are many.
They are all liberal to the core.
Hence, I adore them more.
My mother is one among them.
Being a woman of great virtues,
She is not only patience personified,
But also, the symbol of our family pride.
She is far too generous,
Though not very prosperous.
Manages everything as a dutiful spouse;
Against anyone she has nothing to grouse.
No wonder, for us, she is a light house!

Difficult to understand are the languages spoken by life
“he who works should eat,” but why the constant shift of the goal post?
Seriousness in following principles may lead one to be swallowed by the earth
I have always been an adult, let me be taken care of, like a neonate this day
So, I dashed to the nearest eatery with what should be enough.
Sitting in the restaurant gave me the grace of the countryside
a receptive bar tender thankfully indicates no alarm of fire or smoke
but the Menu condemns my class to neutralize any victorious smile,
half glass of a common drink and a piece of snack is not my trend,
nothing bad to have a first time in almost a lifetime.
Half way my meal, the one seated opposite me becomes too generous
to a limitless order he offers and gives the unsolicited visa
with the assurance of sponsorship from a well-populated pocket.
A massive top up from my command that flowed with audacity
as half my table causes, in the arena, an arm-length of goose bumps.
Those in white suddenly come in to capture a refugee of mental institution,
a threat to society who escaped, and he sits right in front of me,
it was six to one; yet the drag to the door is labored.
When bad luck meets greed, misfortune grows to a grandfather
I stare in irredeemable shock to my order that can feed half an orphanage.

The One in Me
I love the one in me,
So kind is His spirit;
Too generous and sweet,
The one of lovely glee.
That I’m searching, not now.
For this one I believe
My prowess will relive;
In radiance, they will glow.
I love the one in me,
So kind is His spirit;
Too generous and sweet,
The one of lovely glee.
For this Holy I trust
Will lay my way for me.
For in Him, lives no lust;
With Him, in me, I’m free.

Ever so gentle,
Far too generous,
Oh so scarce,
Love like a butterfly.

There was no activity at all in the prairie on this marvelous day.
Peaburger was happy to be off on his journey, on his sweet way.
Had a knapsack on his back, and warm ideas in his adventurous heart.
He could hardly wait to get away from his ex-wife and make a new start.
Ex-wife had moved back in with her new husband and their kids five.
He did not care if he ever again saw any of these prairie dogs alive.
His ex-wife came to the mouth of the hole and yelled “happy be!”
He rolled his eyes, not caring about her, or her new husband Gree.
I am just too generous, too giving, the always-will-finish-last kind of guy,
He lamented as he walked, talking himself into being meaner with try.
Around noon he got out a peanut, and started to eat with his crackers.
He was promptly surrounded by five hungry spotted nutcrackers.
He rolled his eyes to the sky and asked “Why God? Why me?”
He had given those nutcrackers all his food by a quarter until three.
I'm doomed to always be that kind of guy he lamented to angels above.
Young frisky prairie dog who had been watching promptly fell in love.

Limerick
Three kids to a bed, two beds to a room, three
rooms crowded with flannel long johns and wool
socks. If I was lucky enough maybe they had only
been worn by two or three brothers before me.
No holes was never a guarantee.
Mama had us tucked in tight under hand stitched
quilts made from squares of worn-out clothes that
was deemed no good for anything else. So heavy
that it was impossible to sleep on my back.
Or it would make my toes hurt all night.
Morning would come whenever nature demanded. As
soon as it was light enough to see the bowl of ice
capped water, I could splash a few drops on my face.
On some of those more courageous mornings,
a few of the more important parts.
The sides of the pot-bellied stove could turn as
red as the devil’s hood if the stoker was too generous
with the logs, or go out altogether if it was neglected
for too long. Deep scratches gouged into the floor from
constantly shifting chairs.
A good autumn from the garden, creek banks, and the
woods beyond provided enough to ease the
grumbling of winter stomachs. The occupants of
the chicken coop did their job diligently. As did
the former occupants of the pig pen and the pasture.
By January deep paths cut through waist high snow
to the outhouse, smokehouse, chicken coop
and wood pile. Only three more months until the
grass can be seen again.

Whispering Angel: Strength of the Babes
Blubbering baby, newborn to this Earth
Tell me why you wail and blubber at birth?
Could you be afraid of this Earthly Circus?
Well, don’t be afraid and don’t be nervous.
I shall hold your hand, so don’t be anxious.
We are all on Earth for a higher purpose.
Even if we feel that the world is against us
Even if we face a most daunting concourse
Even if we think that the task is enormous,
...perhaps all these things are sent, and meant, to test us.
Let us hum a tune, to the angels, in chorus.
Look up to the skies; to the Heavens above us.
I shall be your guide - just keep calm, and focus.
Hold on to this faith, and you shall be joyous.
Even if you feel that some men are monstrous
Even if you face that foe - mischievous
Even if you think that it's all mysterious,
…be cautious to be curious at a world that is so curious.
Sometimes you may fail, and sometimes victorious.
Journeys that you make may at times be dangerous.
I am by your side in all storms tempestuous.
Never give up hope; just stride on courageous.
Even if it seems that the paths are perilous
Even if you face a road most treacherous,
Even if you think the ways of men outrageous,
...take care to be precocious, for the gift of life is precious.
I shall let you in on a secret about Jesus,
How to seem poor and yet be prosperous.
Don’t ever hold back in being too generous.
Forgive all bad friends, and even bad neighbours.
Even though betrayed by that man, called Judas
Even though they swapped Him for that thief, Barabbas
Even though they nailed Him to that Cross, still conscious,
...men still remain oblivious ...though the Truth is quite obvious.
Blubbering baby ...sleep on then in peace.
I shall watch over you - I shall your Journey ease.

The cage
Too generous to cater food
Too considerate to cater water
Too worry to cater a confinement
Too anxious to cater a lock
Is too small for birds
To fly into the sky
To fly into the sea
The sunrise and the sunset
To bathe in the sun
To kiss the clouds
To kiss the waves
We apologise for the sufferings
Like that of lockdown Covid 19
Because we understand and we feel

I'm too quiet
I talk too much
I'm too involved
I'm way too out of touch
I'm too messy
I care too much about things being clean
I'm too kind
I'm way too f*ckin mean
I'm too close
I'm too far away
I went to bed too early
I stayed up too late
I'm too skinny
I'm too big
I'm too generous
I'm a stingy f*ckin bi*ch
I should have still cooked for you
When you said you wouldn't eat
And you said I should go out with my friends
Then asked where the hell I've been
And I'm too timid
I'm too bold
I'm too immature
I act too old
And I'm too happy
And I'm far too blue
It doesn't matter what I am
It isn't good enough for you
