Whole day in the kitchen
Making my girlfriend favorite dish
I cooking for her tofu
With tomato and salt fish
Tofu is a food can be cook
In so many different ways
She really love it
So I surprising her today
Tofu is made from soybeans
Can absorb flavors of spices and marinades
Is has been a nutritional value
For Asian cuisines for hundred of years
It’s her first time in America
So I want to make it right
With tofu for dinner
Serving under candle lights
I can’t wait to see her smile
When she sees the food I cook
I know she will watch me
And give me that special look
My girl friend is amazing
To me she means the world
She is more precious than diamond
And the seas full of pearls
I really wish to tell her
She my heaven on earth
And I mean it from my heart
And I miss her so much it hurt
She told me about tofu
Very popular in western cooking
There is even a tofu festival
Every year they does be celebrating
I have never try tofu
But my girlfriend is very sweet
So what ever she likes

Old Tofu Haiku
my tofu was old
and with me it did not stay
better to throw away
Tofu was invented centuries ago by the Chinese.
However, the name we use comes from the Japanese.
It is what many consider a form of soymilk cheese.
In the Far East, it has garnered much fame.
Each nation and culture there gives it a name.
In their respective languages, it sounds almost the same.
It does not have much of a taste, but is high in protein.
With nearly no fat, it is a nutritious source that is lean.
Soymilk is mixed with salts like calcium sulfate.
Whey is extracted from the curds that coagulate.
Because it can be a suitable substitute for meat,
tofu can make any vegetarian’s diet complete.

Tofu woke up feeling strange.

One fine, bright, spring day.
The ladies are the cousins.
They were buying lunch as a treat.
They phoned up Caroline to ask

So Caroline's granddaughter said
"You know what you should do?
Text them back, say all is fine,
As long as there's no Tofu!"
They brought a buffet style feast
And spoke about their trip.
They shared some funny experiences
The entire stories... not just bits.
An afternoon of fun and laughter
And they lit up the day.
Caroline and her husband Brian
Had gifts to give them before they went away.
This group had a mischievous plan
Eager to involve Caroline in the joke.
Once the granddaughter left the room,
An opportunity struck and they spoke.
When she came back in again
They all watched and smiled at her.
She wondered what was going on
As she sank into the chair...
One of them told the granddaughter
"We have a special gift for you.."
She slowly unfolded the wrapping
To find a chunk of Tofu!
Everyone erupted into fits of laughter
As she looked back their way.
Caroline said, "See, I told you she wouldn't
Know how to react! She's too polite to say!"
It was still in the fridge after several weeks.
The girl chuckled and enlightened her Nan,
"I've got brilliant idea!
Do you want to hear my plan?
Although I hope they know that
I'm extending their joke, not being mean,
Shall I send it in the post to them
Saying "It's Irish! Look! It's green!?" "
