Best Symbolic Poems
we suffer the symbols
and darts of self offence
and tout them around
to prove the right or wrong
of some weak or strong
circumstance position...
signs and symbols
just intellectual thimbles
for pushing a point home
to sew and to weave
ideas together
every night
into a bedspread
of token dreams...
i put all that aside
and go to sleep
my symbolic house
my purple castle
invaded by red clowns
a dialogue
contradicting personal icons
denying synthesis
denying art
trespassing
poaching
unbalancing decentring crucifiers
tearing the paper they make of my mind
tearing tissue
cells sinew flesh blood
a pavlov’s laboratory
for a crowd
appropriation
depersonalisation
obliteration
constructs and betrayals ad infinitum
a teleological structuralism
for others

A dreamt came at dawn
Tiny dragon spoke wisdom
Dog ingest its might.
Suddenly vomits
Everything swallowed goes out
Dragon turned piglets.

The mermaids will not sing today.

Blackened cubes of naturality stomache across the pains of a million screaming faces
Crushed by the weight of two ton pound horsehell and drowned in the unthoughtfulness of the moon's cruel disregard towards the emotions of the ground-up grime of the Earth.
Her circular orbit brings punishment towards the agony and despair of crying mothers
Wailing and screaming all day but her arrogance mutes all.
Selfish. Unjustified. No one hears the cries of undeserved gnashing and torture
Day after day, she slams and beats down her unrelenting eternal rage upon them.
Nothing to save them. Nothing can fire bring upon their release.
The Earth is temporary. The Moon is forever.
Even after the fire she will continue on in her rage. The sources forced to suffer
her eternal beatings even after the rest of time and time on again.
Screaming and crying and grieving for the rest of eternity.
No death. Just the sweet eternal bliss of immortality.

My balcony was covered by a huge sycamore tree,
My constant companion during the snowy Maple days,
Memories come as insects around a flowering tree
Turning my gloomy days into that of glorious days.
First candid approach in medicine to initiate,
Hippocrates sat under sycamore tree to explain,
As Buddha sat under the Bodhi tree to meditate,
Nirvana or the enlightenment of mind to attain.
Father Cavanaugh aptly called it ‘The tree of vengeance’,
Othello’s Desdemona sat sighing by sycamore,
Flying to Egypt Virgin Mary rested under once,
Known to be as crann ban “money tree” in Iris folklore.
To demystify health care and known to personalize,
My sycamore exists to socialize and poetize.

Majestic crowns within a reach

Those who reach new found milestones
keep soaring way on up and up

Along Iran's alluvial fan,

A scourging blight the tender,

Forlorn Love – A Red Rose Dead
Love oft finds its symbolic meaning in
the beauty and grandeur of the red rose.
This symbolic meaning reflects as well
the true meaning of love shared by two.
The magic and real passion of love itself
forms the chemistry that bonds two lovers.
The wondrous nature of love fires emotions as
it touches the depth of the human soul replete.
The innate beauty of a red rose is an image that
compels star-crossed lovers so smitten by love.
Alas, when a romantic love over time becomes a
forlorn love, its red rose image withers and dies.

Colours are bright,
colors are beautiful
yet out of all colors
my favorite is red
red yields life
and life is beautiful,
red symobolises my strength,
my being to pursue, suceed and overcome
the dangers now and ahead.
Red the color that adorns
adorns me inside and outside,
the color of blood,
the life within of me,
the energy that drives and pushes
me always inspite of all short comings
Red is my caution
prudence is the attribute,
the value that makes me meticulous
with it, I suceed!
Who may rise?
Who may fall?
If Love is power unto itself,
It therefore must be
A force that binds
Builds, and
Answers every begging
Question of the Soul.
Of men
It beckons the heart
To yearn for the unknown
Knocking at every door
To see the unseen
Seeking metaphysical
Truth
The One formula
To every equation
Equaliser of Life.
If we descend into the depths
It is there to lift
And make anew
When she calls to
Thee
Will we therefore
Rise to heights
Never before revealed.
Must we limit her heights
With weights that
Atlas can no longer hold
Shall we then tenfold
make her known
In a world of jarred
Hatred?
She is more than lustful I's
have ever seen in a
Material world that works
To undo our solidarity
Within Creation's Hands
Her natural ability to
be a beacon of light
within the gloomy
corridors of cloudy minds
More than pivotal positions
Of politics
She corresponds to
Pythagorean mystical
math
The Order of One
Right Angles
The knowledge of Angels is
Algebra
Dare we solve the unknown,
Our Destiny
A testing of Will
To Rise above circumstance?
Who may rise?
Who may fall?
We've all been summoned
To her feet
Given the power to walk upon
Waters with the
Sands of time beneath our feet
How dare we fall for not
Answering Her Call?
The Armour
Faith
Hope
Love
A chord not easily Broken
No world weapon shall prosper
Embrace her and be
Solely free to
Experience God
The very Heartbeat of Life
Rise Royally all in her Name
A Love Supreme.

A Love Thang
Rise or Fall.
Numbers and letters,
upon the psyche surround
brain splash frolicking...
slithering world serpent through the ocean of air
impunity by nature , to understand thee thy dare
infiltrate , dominate , conversions at will
wooing the masses , lies , poisonous they spill
masters of craft , art , they have built
architects of time , vaults filled at their will
institutions of power , early monarchs of earth
treachery and greed , impregnated gave birth
systems of government , religion they've controlled
usurpers of power were quickly dethroned
ancient houses of regents , predetermined by blood
created confusion , unenlightenment by flood
waves of misery , waves of dark history
waves of slavery , waves of atrocities
emotions attuned to human tragedy
sacrifices made to garner sympathy
death incurred , monumental price to pay
wealth accrued in an evil way
white rose of life , black rose of death
checkerboard symbols , a mean game of chess
the world at large has been in constant check
checkmate is the purpose , by whom a good guess .
A hero to a little boy,
Smartest man in the world, so full of joy.
Big HOUSE! Big beard. Big Family! Big belly!!
“I love you son.” “I love you too, Dad”.
A whole different place,
Confusion wins the race.
One night, a big fright. Discovery leads to recovery
“I love you, I promise.” “I love you too, Dad”
A fresh new family,
A mansion from a fantasy.
Pink Floyd and Air guitar! And “this is not the droid you're looking for.”
“We love you son”. “I love you, too”
A trip to the beach,
Just about out of reach.
Chicken bakes and heart aches. Beautiful piers and encroaching fears.
“I love you, see you next month,” “I think I love you too, Dad.”
A long train or a maybe a flight,
One at a time, but always polite.
Awkwardness and distance. Loneliness and inconsistence.
“Love you, see you next time.” “See you, Dad.”
A missed call, or unresponded text,
Why can’t I find the time? Neither this week or next?
We’ll schedule! It’s fine. Just fine. And repeat.
“Speak soon, son.” “Goodbye, Dad.”
A sad piece of news, a long conversation.
Is it actually happening? Time for deliberation.
I’m polarised. A tear in one eye. Phone to his ear. I hope he can hear.
“I’m coming to see you Dad.”
“I think I love you, Dad.”
“I love you, Dad.”
A man who was loved,
Finally at peace, watching from above.
We’ll celebrate the good times as we elevate our goodbyes,
And one last time, without the tune - I’ll see you on the Dark Side of the Moon.
The Symbolic Life
Nine years old
And picking candy
Off the shelf at Woolworth.
Two Tootsie rolls, and
A Rolo, then a bite off of
A wax bottle filled with sugar water.
Forty nine years old,
And picking candy out of
My medicine bottle,
Two Oxycodones,
And a Morphine,
And bite off a Valium.
