We're in the midst of trump times and
We need to understand
That that individual in the White House
Is not a righteous man
He's all about division, discord
And disarray
And when a domestic terror act occurred
He did not have much to say
White nationalists staged a rally to keep
A confederate statue in place
No regard and no respect for any other
Ethnicity nor any other race
A group of anti- protesters were in a
Peaceful march as well
Until a nationalist in a car mowed them down
Causing utter hell
We're in trump times the country's
Moral barometer has done a reverse
We're in trump times trust and believe
It can only get worse
Threats against the North Koreans
Who are launching potential weapons to kill
Instead of using diplomacy
Trump wants to assert his will
On the precipice of what could
Possibly become world war 3
What should we do?
What are our spiritual strategies?
One, we would do well to accept
The invitation from Christ our Savior
To worship, witness and walk
With a Christlike behavior
We need God to remind us
That we are not alone
And never ever forget that its He
Who sits on the throne
God is in charge He's still in control
Hopefully He'll work on presidents
Trump and Kim Jong Un souls
Two, we need gather together in
Remembrance of He
Jesus the Christ who died
To give us the victory
To eat of the bread and drink of the wine
Remnants of His body and blood
To examine our own hearts
And acknowledge His unconditional love
To stay in touch with reality
To remember our past and our pain
Of the slavery that is still on American
A badge of shame
Let us never forget
what has come to pass
Let us never forget Jesus
and the love for us He has
For when we remember we reestablish
All truths and how they came to be
And no tweet will erase nor change
The true reality
Trump talks about fake news
But free press will prevail
As only free press stops a nation from
Becoming a dictatorship from hell
Spiritual strategies for trump times
We need to realize
We need to stay united
And keep our eyes on the prize
Let us never forget the blood
That was shredded and the sacrifice
Let us never forget that for our sins
Jesus gave His life
Let us look past skin color
And ignore race
Let us remember God
Who gave us His infinite
Mercy and Grace
I am happily teaching my second grade students two bully-proofing strategies earlier today.
These powerful anti-bullying techniques are "the thank you" and the "skip away" both invented by me.
First I explain that the mean bullying types are sad inside, so they want others to be mad and sad too. which is why they choose meanness to do and say.
I need to know who they are, so the children write down the names of any child they have seen being mean, for only the teacher and me to see.
We practice the "thank you" this way. I bring up a student who gets to call me names. All hands shoot up. Everyone wants to bully me, until they get up here.
Today I gave twenty-three examples, and I implored the teacher to come up and call me names after two children tried, but failed me.
The teacher, a personal, great friend of mine,said, "I can't do it! But Cameron can." Cameron ran up as if he was being chased by a bear.
BAM! Five mean and ugly things came out. I was amazed and thanked him profusely for each compliment, even did a two-step and a skip to my Lou.
So don't let them see you're mad. Don't let them see you sad. If your face is giving you away, use the "skip away." Jimmy yells out, "Can't we just run away?"
"If you use the skip away, they wonder why you are so happy. " I tell them as they laugh at my bad skipping. "Skipping indicates happiness too."
The children returned to their seats to write down the names of all children who have said or done something mean that they have seen with their own eyes or heard with their own ears since Easter Day.
I say, "Not since kindergarten or first grade. Not something you have heard someone else say that they said. Only write down names of children whom you SAW or HEARD do meanness. Okay?
I was asked thirty-two times if they were supposed to put their names on their paper, curious since there are only 29 students , and two were absent today.
I made a little tally sheet and gave it to the teacher, only. One teacher asked if she could share it with her class, I said "No, because I promised the children this would only be seen by you and me. I smile at my own clever petard.
That's when things turned.
The teacher got a bit snippy. And I quietly skipped away.
The average bird considers it best
to sleep at night inside a nest.

Strategies
Without question
Agree with their concepts and ideas
As they are good but for nothing
Except to argue with cliché words and rotten logic
Creativity, they know not
Nor do they know the way of searching truth
Your acceptance of their belief
Will neither harm you nor help them
But their adamancy may do a great harm
On the way of your smooth run.
The road is long
And the promises are many
The onus is on you to keep the magic lamp burning
For the greater good
For the larger mankind
As no one knows your strength but yourself
Never step to counter aggressively
This may be a trap of your opponent
Before time to burn you out
The worth of you,
You know better
The wealth of your fertile land
No one can count
Avoid any sort of conflicts
Or war of words with people, foolish
Their mistakes will not go to your grave
But their anger may damage your golden crop
Situation may be tough
Working condition may be tight
But to let unnecessary things to go is easy
As the buck lies on you to keep the boat sailing .
Satan shows no
Signs of intelligence
When he’s allowed
To take over our lives
We self-destruct.
He is simply
Out here to kill
Still and destroy
Every man woman
Little girl and boy
Satan will use
Those who are
Closest to you
To make you feel
Low. So low
That he will
Convince you
That it is time for
You to go.
In other words’
He’ll tell you
To kill yourself
And you’ll
Be right where
He’ll want you
To be in misery
Satan’s misery
Loves company
He’ll get into
Your parents
That may
Have conceived
You through accident
To make them
To tell you
Were hell sent
God makes no
Mistakes.
Satan is out
Here simply
To steal, kill,
And destroy
Every man woman
Little girl and boy
He does not
Want you to
Enjoy the days
Of your life
Fornication is Satan’s
Strategy of one
Not ever receiving
The God-ordained
Husband or wife.
Satan will have
You acting as
If your gender
And identity
Is changed
He’ll have
You acting
Deranged
He’ll have you
Thinking you
Should be treated
Better than
Someone else
On the basis
Of skin
He’ll have you
Not being humble
Meek instead
Filled with
Pride
And
He’ll have you
Thinking you
Created yourself
Instead of God
Creating you.
Satan wanted
So he does
Not like the
God in you
He wants you
To feel blue
And think
You’re better
Than everyone else
While you gave
To Satan the
Definition of yourself
God now he
Has full control
Instead of God
Being the potter
You’re spirit
Is slaughtered
Jesus died on the
The cross for all
Of God’s royal
Sons and daughters
To not fall
For his strategies
And mess
God wants His children
To have the best.
He won’t bother
You much if you’re
Tied, tangled,
And wrapped up in
Sin but as soon
As he loses your
Loyalty and you
Start walking
With God
In your destiny
More and more
You’ll recognize
Satan’s silly
Strategies.

I spent the last few years of my job looking after Strategic Planning and the question was posed to me as well. But it never occurred to me then to make limerick like this. This one highlights the essential difference between the two.
