Best Stooped Poems
He stooped and wrote upon the ground,
and paused, then said, "If there be found,
among you one who has no sin,
then let the first be cast by him."
Read the story** and you will find, ** (John 8: 2-11)
The elder left the younger behind,
Who also followed them that day,
For all of them had gone astray.
The Lord then said to the one remaining,
"Where are thine accusers, who have no staining",
"There are none, Lord", she then replied,
For all of them had something to hide.
"Neither do I condemn you", He said,
Who is our true and living Bread,
"So, go thy way and sin no more",
From that time on she did adore,
and serve Him as her Lord and Master,
Who rescued her from such disaster.
So what does that mean for us today?
"All we, like sheep, have gone astray",
So we must labor not to judge,
Or yield to temptation to hold a grudge,
For then we shall be truly free,
And live with Christ everlastingly.

On some back road in Texas
Where time had flown away
Sat a dreamlike Kinkade home
Of warmth and heart, not paint,
With shaded walkway arbor
Crowned with leaves and flowers.
Love dwelt there.
A lovely little couple,
Long past their youthful prime,
Welcomed us into their home
With bright and cheerful smiles
Saying, “We over-ripe grapes
Are now in raisin time.”
Love was there.
Our afternoon was blissful
Midst rose and hollyhock
Seated near a lily pond,
A lotus eater’s dream,
With tea, crumpets, clotted cream
And conversation sweet.
Love shared there.
We bade farewell at even
With smiles, and hugs and tears
To Pop Vin and Auntie Mae.
A stooped for sale sign wept
For the home they would depart.
The pair smiled even so.
Love held on.
One later year we passed by
Under a searing sky
That burned up cornfields nearby
Their home worn and withered
As grapes long past raisin time.
Wistfully we knew why:
Love had gone.
Melding with the void,
blissful, overjoyed,
we choose to descend
to help souls ascend.
In search for the light,
there’s no wrong or right;
since the truth is veiled,
by fears we’re assailed.
Ignorance the cause
why love’s put on pause,
so we have no choice
but to heed God’s voice.
Conscience is within;
listen to begin.
Complex made simple ~
just rest thoughts nimble.
Buddha and Jesus;
their teachings please us
but then we forget,
languish in regret.
Easy is the road,
heart is God’s abode
but being ill bred
we live in our head.
Discard all knowing
and keep on flowing,
head-heart hand in glove,
embracing God’s love.

It was really early in the morning
in the temple, Jesus came to teach
what a privilege the people received
here was God's son who gave his speech
But the scribes brought him a woman
accused of adultery only in their sight
Jesus said anyone sinless thrown a stone
none could as Jesus stooped down to write
Nobody knows what he did write
but when everyone left them alone
there was no one to accuse her
for Jesus wouldn't either condone
Jesus said go and sin no more
then you'll can open his door
receive all he's got in store
He stooped down
And made me
He stooped down
And raised me
He stooped down
And helped me along, along-
He stooped down
And saved me
He stooped down
And raised me
He stooped down
And helped me be strong, be strong- (Chorus)
He stooped down...
