Best Sticking Poems
Hear it chugging and tasle
The sun has gone down
Twilight, is still not dark
Small steps ... chugging and tasle
The dog is standing still
Sniffing and listening
Sounds comes closer
A small ball comes out of the bushes
My favorite toy, the dog thinking
Sticking her nose up ..... but ...
The ball is full of sticking spines
it makes a hissing sound
Hedgehog will not play with the dog

Narrative
For better or worse
For good or for bad
In sickness or in health
In riches or in poverty
On good days and bad
When she drives you mad
When he has made you sad
When nothing makes you glad
When you think speaking is a must
When you bite your tongue to avoid the fuss
When you are cold and she is hot
When he’s looking old and you are not
When you have money to buy a lot
When you must keep what you’ve got
To have and to hold
In the heat and in the cold
From when we are young until we grow old
Never to fold no matter what you’ve been told
Committed to the beast and the beauty
When it’s pretty and when it’s ugly
When your words are few
And no one cares for your point of view
When your opinions are right, with lips tight
You still must sit and stew
When you should speak up and be heard
Or when you are quiet as a mouse
Or when the home has turned
Into just another house
When the house is cold inside
And it’s not just you
When words like honey, sugar, and sweetie pie no longer seem due
When you have fits and fights and want to quit
It’s about time we all get a clue

A voodoo witch I bought it from,
A voodoo doll of Bill Clinton,
I stuck it with a great big pin,
But all Bill did was,grin,grin,grin,
That witch just might've been a con.
authors note: only a poem and I am a fan of Bill Clinton.-
I chose him because he's a big enough man to take a joke

Of all of the days to sleep in this late
Why did I have to choose today
The revolution we'd been planing along
I'm sure was already underway
I grabbed my bag, thank goodness already packed
And headed for the door
I ran out so fast my dog was aghast
My feet barely touching the floor
When I arrived at the park
I saw none of my friends
There were old ladies knitting shawls
Old men playing rummy and gin
I was already there
So I refused to go home
The revolution got canceled
And I wasn't informed
So I stood up on my soapbox
And yelled listen to me
All the old folks gathered round
As I gave the greatest of speech
I talked of how long
We'd been beat down by the man
As I went point by point
Of my intricate plan
There came weakened shouts
From a few in the crowd
While the hearing impaired
Wondered what all the fuss was about
We all moved to the street
With luck a Boy Scout happened by
To help all the old ladies across
But only one at a time
We surrounded Dairy Queen first
Because they have ice cream soft serve
Which goes down so smooth
When your wearing dentures
Next we did a flash mob
In the local Right-Aid
There were old women swinging purses
And old men waving canes
They all slowly shuffled down
The adult diaper aisle
Where they stripped the shelves clean
With raspy giggles and wrinkly smiles
Things were running so smoothly
According to revolutionary plans
We were creating social havoc
And sticking it BAD to the man
In the middle of the craze
My cell phone it rang
It was my radical friends
Wondering where I have been
I'm a tad bit embarrassed
That's the least I can say
In my mad rush to arrive
I went to the wrong park today
So I snuck out the back of Rite-Aid
As the swat team arrived
If I had a conscience I'd feel bad
In leaving my new old friends behind

For better or for worst; For good or for bad.
In sickness or in health; In riches or poverty.
In good days and bad,
When he has made you sad.
When she drives you mad;
And nothing makes you glad.
To have and to hold,
In the heat and in the cold.
From when we are young until we grow old;
Never to fold no matter what we’ve been told.
When you think that speaking is a must.
When you bite your tongue to avoid a fuss.
When he is cold as ice;
And she is hot as fire.
When he is looking old;
And she is not.
When you have money to buy a lot;
Or when you must keep what you’ve got.
Committed to the beauty and the beast;
When it’s pretty or when it’s ugly.
When you are thin;
Or when you are fat
When you are as loud as a dog;
Or when you are as quiet as a cat.
When your words are few because no one cares about your point of view.
And when your opinion is right,
and you still must sit and stew.
When you speak up to be heard;
Or when you are quiet as a mouse.
When the home you dearly love
has turned into just another house.
When the house is cold inside,
And it’s not just you.
When words like honey, sugar, and sweetie pie no longer seem due.
When you fight, have fits, and want to quit;
That’s about the time to get a clue 02022007 cj PS

Prose Poetry
Problems come and problems go
But there's one thing you should know
If good friends stand by your side
Helping through the bumpy ride
Knowing love is all around
Till your back on level ground
The smallest problems disappear
Soon they are no longer there
Days are happier again
With the good kind hearted friends
Who never bailed or walked out
Their minds without a single doubt
Sticking by a friend in trouble
Running to you on the double
With hugs tightly warm and soothing
Holding on and never losing
Sight of what needs to be done
True friends will not leave or shun
They'll hang on until the day
Your frown turns the other way
Back into a joyful smile
That has been away awhile

Hey! Your hair is sticking up!
This news flash is from a seven-year-old.
I know, I tell him. It’s Dad hair.
I can’t do anything with it.
I have two cowlicks.
Sometimes they both stick up
looking like horns, which goes well with my personality.
You could comb it, my husband says.
He has bought me combs.
No idea where they are.
I have no interest in my hair or the hair of others.
So of course God made me the mother of three daughrers.
Two of them do their hair.
The other one is like me, we don't even like to wash it.
Tonight a male beautician asked me what I wanted.
I said “do whatever you want. I hate hair.”
“Great!” he said. “You will be the funkiest grandma in town.”
“I am already the funkiest grandma in town,” I informed him.
“Do a Mohawk. I don’t care.”
When he finished he said “I forgot to do the Mohawk.”
“That’s okay,” I told him. “My boss is conservative.”
But I did leave him a big tip
for not taking my advice.

Narrative
Through thick and thin we have come
Through the years we have seen it all
We have been through all there is
And still sticking together
Standing tall through it all
Thank you for believing in me
Even when I did not believe in myself
Thank you for being battle ready
When forces of darkness attacked
Thank you for not saying no
When situations looked gloomy
Thank you for being who you are
For you are one in a million

We stick together like glue on paper
Late night secrets
And pillow fights
I steal your clothes
You wear my shoes
We argue about little things
But our laughing is nonstop
Holding hands on our adventures that never end
Splashing in the puddles wearing matching rainboots
Sitting on rocks and talking a lot
Nobody could ever replace you
Because your my sister
And I love you a whole lot

Speaking bout creeps they crawl, they aint tall but chase you till you run out and you gone,
Speaking deep out of experience, the resilient take a right grip at first sight because they are tough at their course,
Seeking a solution for the none of course cause they change like chameleons, stick over, under, on walls, to be honest they are full of guts, to my deeper goats or horns they have walls,
No wonder wise said walls have ears,
Sticking to these creeps, they aint stupid they have goals,
They rip,
They dont keep secrets, they are generally ingrates,
They aint cheap,
They sail in mearchant ships,
The reep what they havent sown,
They enslave more than french fries and chips,
Beware of Sticking Creeps.

Blank verse
What do you mean you’ve been around assholes long enough to pick out the sweet ones?
There’s no way in hell you know what I’m talking about.
You’ve never felt this way, or maybe you thought you did.
I can’t help the guys you dated, but you can’t sit here and judge the one I like.
Yours were assholes.
Mine’s just confused.
He can’t help what he’s feeling.
He can’t help feeling afraid.
I’m not going to press him.
You go ahead and think what you want, but I’m sticking to my story.
I can’t have you trying to tell me what to do when you’ve never been with a guy for more
than three months.
Does that make you an expert?
I don’t think so.
Whatever, girl.
Think what you want, but I’m sticking to my story.
How many times have you been with a guy that called you beautiful?
How many times have you cared enough about another human that you were willing to let
go?
How many times have you sat back and watched that same person flirt endlessly with
countless girls while you have no power whatsoever?
You don’t know how I feel.
Think what you want, but I’m sticking to my story

Even when Satan starts a picking,
With God I'm sticking.
When Satan starts to be bite,
I'm telling him goodnight.
That battle the Lord will fight,
and to Satan, I say with me all is well,
I have the victory.
Go to hell you ineffective enemy!
