- Sticking Relationship -

Hear it chugging and tasle
                                         The sun has gone down
                                         Twilight, is still not dark
                                   Small steps ... chugging and tasle
                                         The dog is standing still
                                           Sniffing and listening
                                           Sounds comes closer
                                   A small ball comes out of the bushes
                                      My favorite toy, the dog thinking
                                       Sticking her nose up ..... but ...
                                       The ball is full of sticking spines
                                            it makes a hissing sound
                                     Hedgehog will not play with the dog

Interesting piece of work. My son had a hedgehog... here we don't have them in the wild, and their called an exotic pet... After it's life time he got a sugar glider... it looks like a lemur... They are soooo cute... and clingy... Nam hung all over him where ever he went... They're community creatures... and don't do well alone.

Great entry. I remember my dog tangling with a skunk and the results. We have a few porcupines but no hedgehogs. Are they the same? congratulations on your win. Love, Joyce

Unique work using those animals around you to write a great work..I have never seen a hedgehog in real life only on TV for I don't think that we have them here..I guess the dog liked the ball even more because it would hiss...Thanks for your visit to my work..Sara
