The Dilettante Diaries: "In Stasis, Black Iris"

Oriental Lily's
Stamen bleeds
blush ochre dust
like icing sugar
duelling tongues
sweet captive
musk

over stagnant
white pure perfume
Stains soft feather fingerprints
sweet bruises across warm velvet skin
imprints a new story
a kiss lingers
there just there
you know where
secret whispers begin

Again
Again

Ripe Tiger...

Stasis
Imprison the blaze
for unlearning
the ghost of our light
to bow down before
an interim simulacrum
of the sham.

You said,
that the colours are so hurting;
that this soundless shapelessness
comforts you.

I cannot extricate you.
Cannot unleash
from the unbreachable
for I learned that
this stasis is your only home....

Stasis
It’s quiet in here
Almost completely silent
All I can hear is the dying mechanical hum
of whatever’s barely keeping me alive

I’m suspended in something
Much like liquid
but far more restricting

My eyes are burning
So I keep them closed
And it’s that much less pain I feel

It takes...

Stasis

I left the eggplants on the vine this year.
Unpicked.
Forlorn.
They hang bloated on blackened stalks,
dusted gratefully with snow.

The garden’s water mill wheel stands still
Fixed.
Unmoving.
Arrested by Winter’s ice.

Parsley and mustard greens battle daily
for life.
peeking, bright green still;
from the sleet sheet covering their bed.

Stalwart sage vies for vertical...

Stasis of Freedom
This sad station or stasis of education
people over social media no relation
this web taking over our nation

patiently waiting the debating
America the land of sedating
lock you up throw away the key no hesitating

who chose the age when you are considered to...

Stasis State
I'd look at you, and see something more
Something greater than great, and something I'd adore
Beautiful eyes and an amazing smile
Makes me happy for more than only just a while

I wish it could be, but the wall it separates
What could have been great is now in...

Spin, spin is no sin they say
Political correctness ,must win the day
Group think of politicians who claim
to know best
Conform, conform, be subject to their will
is always their quest
These limousined elite ,
the subject of my political tale

Enfranchisement and freedom
has , and will always prevail...

Night Night
alone,
under the street lamp,
I can hear the whispers,
I keep glancing,
move on,
get out of the way,
but I stay.
This rock I wish to stay near,
and starve myself for.
is it foolish that I see pain,
that I put myself through,
as a...
