Premium Member Poetry From Two Sonnets

1
Sun's glean cascades golden over the peak
Reflections on black water a ballet
Beauty glows, brings an enchanting mystique
Senses peaceful, before it fades away
To lift my eyes from their desolate place
Only the sound of my breathing is heard
My soul's light dims with a flickering trace
As my mind trembles searching for a word
To stand naked, with my heart pierced in awe
Nature's masterpiece brought tears to my eye
Lowly I am understanding my flaw
I'm moved to smallness as I'm purified

How quickly life's sun can move from sight
and leave me alone to embrace the night

2
To be in love is when the heart is free
and kiss warm lips with a passion tender
This bond is soft upon the heart's decree
Through sunsets we lay beneath love's splender
Shall the passage of years be ever still
and wrap each finger with a lover's hand
As we share love's gentle cup, both will fill
The years will come and go at our command
We'll seek the farthest edges of our dream
With tears and sighs we find along the way
And answer each turmoil without a scream
Wrap our bodies tight when life starts to fray

To be in love with your lover's heart
and travel through the days never apart

Premium Member Spring Abounds In Bountyful Splender And Prosperity

Spring Abounds In Abundant Bountiful Glory
The sun above opens up the door
Morbid dark foreboding skies
Get swept away
The treasure chest opens up once more
And spills its overflowing treasures
Upon the new fertile ground
As a new day and a new season is freshly born

The welcomed taste of the summer
A promise and reminder
Of things yet to come
With cheerful hearts, we can relax again
And aspire to leisurely play and have some fun

The spectacular lavish bejewelled mosaic
Of varied textures and varied colour forms
Pastel shades and hues
Please one's eyes once forlorn
Now with prosperity lifting our spirits up
Filling our famished hearts like the golden corn.

The Modern Gleaners

The modern gleaners

Postmodern standardized cities
ubiquitous high rises of steel and glass
concrete jungles of commerce
of buying and selling
trading moving vibration
amidst the turmoil of the bustling day
are the invisible ones

The modern gleaners that make their way
in the shadows beyond displays
quiet slow moving stealth like
modern gypsies in tattered rags
pushing shopping carts through busy streets
overflowing mosaic of plastic bottles

Old men old women mothers with their young
bent over curbs of stacks of trash
these are our modern gleaners
from the rustic farms of yore
into our urban streets

The armies of the unemployed
the disabled and the weak
they that toil all the week
ten cents a bottle ten bucks
a day to get some food to eat
if it’s right or wrong I cannot say
lets forget about it for today
And look the other way

But in the misery of their despair
I see a beauty in their eyes
as they reach for their bottles and cans
the beauty I see is their inner strength
not in the condition there

It’s in their perseverance and their will to live
it’s where the midday sun streams
and bathes the withered skin and faces
 in the golden sun
it’s in their cloths of quilted robes
that hide their worn down skin
it’s in the carts of plastic orbs of mystic shapes
it’s in the muscles of their backs
bent summer winter fall and spring

They work the streets juxtaposed
next to gourmet and high end shops
Where I imagine them looking in
do they dream of such fancy things

But it fades away and focuses
out in the night of day
to their thin worn out hands
I think of those that don’t or can not see
them when there walking by

Cause to see them will shake the conditioned reality
which would become undone
to bathe and eat in splender
Next to such plight and hunger

Green Parrots

The vast caribbean forest is beautiful
while parrots sail the aqua sea,
and claw into the jungles, rich and ripe,
to ravage the orange mango trees.

Wet from the rain, together they preen
stopping to keep their lovers clean.
A concert of beauty, red, yellow and green,
and sometime pushy, raucous and mean.

Who will consoles us, as we walk among
men with ashened eyes terrorizing nature?
Men who exploits innocent animals creating
grief without a vision of a beautiful future?

When can we soar the skies with you
parrots among the ocean palms?
From streams of time and space we too
will fly with splender and calm.

If I were an animal what would I be?

Premium Member Ode To Joe

Oh, how I love you so.
You are my morning pleasure.
My afternoon delight.
I crave you at night.

You sit in silence waiting my arrival.
Scenting the air with pleasure.

The taste of you flavors my lips.
Brings joy to my heart.
Splender to my soul.

I can not lie.
I fear I would die.

You bring my body to action.
Awaken my brain.

Each morning we sit together, watch the sunrise.
One is not enough, I need two.

As I wait for you to brew.
I listen to the birds sing their songs.
Anticipating what soon will come.

Oh, how I love you so.
You are my morning pleasure.
My afternoon delight,
I crave you at night.

Prairie Fields

Through the sea of timeless beauty
swaying heads of flaxen gold
whispered kiss of prairie breezes
under globes of blue bird oceans
sailing ships are floating fleeces
in this vast and timeless world
lie me down neath Apollo's splender
let me warm my troubled soul..

Folage

This time of year
a good time for a drive.
Seeing the splender
and beauty
of this time of year.
Weaving down country
roads trees in splender
such vibrant color .
Leaves in orange
and yellow and red.
Sweet smell in the air
with the cool breeze .
Animals all disquised
with the wide array
of colors on the floor.
Leaves floating from above
settling on the creek all a flow.
Walking along the trails
there's crunching under foot
from the leaves so far above.

Auburn Spring

The beautiful reverse of the garden of Eden's curse.
A Godly reminder in every soulful verse.
Another dieing season, so that we may live.
And be restored unto ourselves when we learn to forgive.

The bitter cold that we must bare when winter has it's way.
Slowly comes upon this world in every Autumn day.
And deep within it's vibrant death.
Mother Earth in all it's splender, takes away our breath.

From within these solemn walls.
We close the door as the temperature falls.
As we begin our journey inside these halls.
Awaiting our rebirth when Spring time calls.

White is black and black is white, the two seasons are singing.
Mirrored in eachothers negative, we hear the truth keep ringing.
To give us hope and help us cope so we never stop trying.
This sweet and bitter gift from God in his season of dieing.

Ode To the Agonies of Love

O the agonies of love!
Such glorious storms of rapture and despair
How I palpitate at the power of loves splender
and swoon under the tenderness of loves touch
O what joy and sweet surrender…….
I am filled with ceaseless longing
Only for love to turn and rend my heart in two
and plunge me helplessly tumbling
into the very depths of despair!
But love rises from the smoldering embers
of my pain and rekindles once again love’s tender flame

A Life Everafter

Oh seek these days of stern minds and proud hearts,
given a heavenly splender.
Smiles of hope, joy and laughter,
given to this life everafter.
Beautiful blue skies, fallen leaves all around.
The sun rays bouncing off the water to gods heavenly ground.
Winds picking up upon a day so fine, would almost go unnoticed from earth to heavenly
bounds.
Thie birds are chirping in a distance and no boats on this find brisk day.
A bright winter day is one that sharpens all my senses and puts ones life at ease.
A life everafter.
The joy in my husbands voice as he speaks of a day when i was away makes ones heart go
pitter patter at the thought of a life everafter.
A person could not be happier or more at ease after days like these.
No troubles in a weary mind of one.
A life everafter.
Life has been for a reason, and it does all make sense.
For it did not take a completed College Education, nor money or matters such as these.
Maybe just a smile or a sign of recignition to be happy to greet my life everafter.

My Exercise Bikes

My Bike exercise Ride

I have a bike , that stand still
No matter how much I peddle
But when Im riding this bike ,
I'm off in a dream a yonder

Im off to all the places
That I would love to go
I ride my bike to the sea
And all the way home

I go up in the mountains
And the cloud is down below
the sun shines all the time
And there's snow all around

I love to ride my bike
It takes me to my dreams
I so enjoy my morning ride
In among the trees

All the tracks around the wood
And though the tall bracken
The birds sing amongst the trees
And the woodpecker keeps knocking

And on a new dawn when I'm wide awake
I can cycle to the lakes
There's Rhododendrons all in bloom
A bright purple shower

the water ripples in the breeze
And hovering just above
Is the most beautiful dragon fly
It's blue and green and silver

And flying over the Lillie pads
Are tiny knatts all hovering
And all the lilies are out in bloom
A wonderful pink splender

I can go off into town
In all the hustle and bustle
And stop and talk to any one
And talk about the weather

The market stalls are so busy
Selling there fruit and veg
There's lots of bargains you can buy
My dream just carries on

And As I peddle off again ,
I'm think we're to go,
I can go any where
My dreams would like to go

And even though I'm standing still
You only have to close your eyes
And dream of all the places
Your exercise bike might ride

The Spider and the Fly

Bound by the soul through love in the
good times and pain in the hard times,
Trying to unravel and be free like a fly in a
spiders web,
Just one more thrust should break him
loose but there always seems to be one
single stand that keeps him binded in this
deadly noose,
The spider ever so slowly inches closer to
her suffering prey,
Knowing this will surely be the last
moment the fly will ever see the light of
day,
Fighting for his life now the fly becomes
more and more confined in his soon to be
tomb,
This will surely be his imminent doom,
Just one look into the spiders eyes causes
the fly to be paralyzed,
Almost as if he hypnotized by her
Splender,
He realizes there is no escape as she
begins to reel him in,
He now feels her beginning to devouring
his soul,
He has given up and most definitely lost
all control.

Galaxies

Spin swirling pinwheels cities of stars.
Shining summits of never ending suns in the infinite swath of time.
Nebulous mists churning out suns.
Giving their glows of reds and blues, purplish hues, and glimmering golden yellows.
Bending back blinding black points where times light is eternally consumed.
Nuetrons pulsing out glows like light house beacons on unending sandy shores.
Ever silent you drift through the black void.
Dying orbs giving birth to clouds of untold eons.
Stars as numberous as the sands.
The attraction bends.
I am of your essence.
You twinkle in my mind.
And I can not fathom your immensity.
Nor would I wish too.
Your splender lies in your mystery.
I refuse to undermind your awe.

Journey

a day in the life
of an everyday man
mostly working to live
to provide what he can

looking at others
and comparing success
but a man who has everything
can sometimes have less

the gold and the splender
are all material things
when its time to go back
all your need are your wings

a time of reflection
a quiet moment of thought
to make the most of this time
as this time is too short

mistakes are a given
its all part of our plan
so lets meet them head on
and just be a good man

we’re all here for a purpose
so lets lead and lets learn
and start looking for answers
and have faith in concern

to make the most of the knowledge
we’ve been given since birth
ask lots of questions
theres more to this earth

are we here to return
with a story to tell
did we fail before
and came here cos we fell

whatever the reason
i will make the most of this life
to be a the best I can be
alongside my beautiful wife

i know life is for living
our time is for a reason
its not too long so remember
to make the most of this season

there could be a god
with a son who’s the saviour
would the truth make a man
change his earthly behaviour

i am not a sinner
neither a saint
a non waivering faith
but actions that taint

im a man on a mission
to be the best i can be
ill be there once more
for the whole world to see

funny how life
offers twists and some turns
playing russian toullette
with the ending to learn
